Seat cushions had a lot of stains and bar stools were really weathered. Menus had dried food on them.
4 of us ate dinner . Only one order was correct and appetizers came with dinner. My salad had salmon but it was raw. Another salad came and was supposed to have chicken, and it did not. Sent it back. Wings were ginger flavored but had no flavor. Wedge salads were great. Bill was incorrect but server corrected it.
We went after 8 on a Friday. It was surprising that it wasn't really busy. Cool vibe and liked the lounge seating areas. We had appetizers- fried chicken sliders and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. Both very good. Has the strawberry mule- also good. Would be better as a hangout with friends than dinner date.
We went for the Super Bowl. It was good! We chose this place because there were open reservations around 1pm (every other sports bar or place showing the game was booked up) i don't think it's a place I'd frequent only because the prices. Overall good experience and the atmosphere was cool!
Beware...on a small piece of paper taped on the wall at the bar it states there will be a 3.5% venue fee added to all checks and a 22% auto gratuity on all checks. Price is subject to change based on special events.
Great burger, great travel, fries, great wedge salad, and great service with bartender Matt and with the female hostess. I would like to see this place get Casa Azul, Plata, and class Azul reposado I went in this evening. They did not have any. They only had the class a school of varietals that were $100 a shot and $400 a shot. But they did not have the Plama or the reposado. I was disappointed and I had to drink Johnny Walker black. I do decide restaurants based on what they have at the bar and I would like to be back if they were to remedy this. I also do a lot of outings on a personal and professional level. I'd like to make this my go to after experiencing it for the first time today.
I'm not sure if Chauncy's Social was short staffed that night. Very unusual. I brought a crowd with me from out of town to enjoy this place. It used to be a great place for drinks, music and food. We ended up leaving after 45 minutes of minimal and poor service. Kitchen also closes at 9pm so the website needs to be updated to reflect. Unfortunately, They didn't even have bandwidth for drinks that night. Maybe next time with better staffing it could get back to the old Chauncey's
Food very mediocre for price. Chicken dry on both flat bread and wrap. Annoying how it would go from live sports broadcast to dj music on commercials. No kids menu đ.
Good music/dancing for N Scottsdale.

The only reason Iâm giving this place 2 stars is for the TVs and sports bar feel. However, thatâs where it stops. The food is just ok, which is expected for a sports bar but I didnât expect them to be dishonest on what they are serving. The fact that that they claim short ribs on their menu is false. Do not fall for this when all they are really serving is barbecue flavored ground beef?.
I do appreciate the GM coming over and clarifying that itâs âground short ribâ, but letâs be real, thatâs really ground beef and if thatâs the case then label it as âgroundâ on the menu. Donât serve it up as if youâre are serving this top notch short rib.
As far as service, it was horrible being that it was pretty dead?. I say pretty dead because the bar was the only spot full In the place. How does it take 10 minutes to be seated when all tables are available and 20 mins in between to check on our table? Very disappointing, but once again it is a good spot for BEER, sports and TVâs ONLY!! Shame on me for expecting more out of a sports bar in Scottsdale. SMH??ââď¸

Iâve had better customer service at the McDonaldâs on Indian school rd. Kinda embarrassing tbh. Nice place but with no one to serve tables or make drinks.

I have been visiting Chauncey Social for the last 1.5 years. It is a great place in North Scottsdale! What I love about this unique establishment:
1.) The management and staff (too many to name) are amazing! They are attentive, responsive and get to know / remember you.
2.) Chauncey adapts to the time of week and day - they play major sports on game nights and on the weekends, they turn into a respectable night club with a DJ on Friday and Saturday evenings, and serve brunch on the weekends.
3.) They have a happy hour - both food and drinks (currently Monday to Friday from 3-6pm) - that canât be met anywhere else in the near vicinity.
Highly recommend Chauncey Social!

Errr let me think....we won't go there again as it was just not our kind of place. The food was a little more than ok but the huge screens immediately to our left were excessively annoying! Flickering and distorted. Staff were friendly and attentive BUT 29 tv screens and excessively LOUD music is not for us! Sports bars we like but this one is too much and the menu is not good enough to warrant a return visit. Just a big miss all round.
The place looks nice & the drinks taste good but it is riddled with hidden fees.
I went with a group after work for Happy Hour. I thought they had a good Happy Hour menu but everything about this place sucks.
1 - portions are terribly small. For food, my friend ordered the eggrolls & I ordered the Chauncey Burger, dumplings. The egg roll is pretty much one egg roll cut in half for $6 & the dumplings are 3 flat âdeconstructedâ dumplings with one bite of filling. The Chauncey Burger was dry and small & tasted like something you would get at an elementary school cafeteria. I wish I took a picture! It was NOT AT ALL like the photo of the burger on this page. It was definitely the worst âburgerâ I ever received going out to eat. My friend ordered the fries, which were good. The sangria was good.
2 - venue fee. The place charges a 3.5% venue fee although itâs not a âspecialâ venue. I am not sure why I am paying a venue fee when there was no special event. Isnât being at the venue part of going out to eat?
3 - they charge an automatic â22% per $100 checkâ. Two problems with this- 22 is high, and together with the venue fee youâre paying over 25%. Secondly, I have never seen an automatic gratuity on check size- only number of guests. A small party could easily reach that amount of having a full meal.
The whole table to considered one âcheckâ and the server is not able to split up tabs more than 4 ways. Even with it split, the 22% automatic gratuity is still present- just moved to one of the checks, even though each of the checks are less than $100? This means one person is responsible for paying the tips for the whole table. The check that did have the automatic gratuity does have âadditional tipâ written on the tip line, where the people who did not have that only had âtipâ- meaning they donât know itâs already been sacked onto one unlucky guest & the other guests are unaware that a tip has already been paid so they end up adding more. Outright scammy and shady
3 - server was inattentive & we had to flag her down to put in orders/get the bill. She did not come other than when asked to come and I donât remember getting any water refills
