There was a sign indicating you are open during renovations but no one was working today when I went. Waste of my time.

The coffee was great, I also got a chocolate croissant, which I did not take a picture of. It was pretty good as well.
As far as the atmosphere and the smell of the place it was quite disgusting. A coffee shop should smell like coffee when you walk in the door. This place smells like old, dirty wet socks.
Let me tell you it was not very appetizing, but I pushed forward and decided to try it anyways. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt.
You might not have money to fix the decor of the place, but it does not cost money other than labor to clean the dust off of everything.
I think this can be a great place for a coffee shop and in a great atmosphere. But until the place gets cleaned up, and the furniture gets improved on from the old couches that looks like someone spilled coffee on it 100 times and never cleaned it up to the chairs that have rips and tears in them.
I don’t think it will be.

Brought my sister here from out of town. We had great coffee and desert. The customer service was excellent. Outside seating was very inviting. Will be back soon.

grew up in this area in the 90s, sad to report it’s more racist than its ever been. the bald guy in this shop refused to make eye contact with me, intentionally mad my drink incorrectly, then proceeded to greet and praise an old caucasian man that walked in behind me. the bald barista scowled at me afterward when i asked for the wifi password. lols at the blatant hatred and jealousy displayed over a person of color daring to walk into the coffee plantation — talk about taking the literal definition of their business name too seriously …
the drink is undrinkable.

Plantation" has multiple definitions, including a large farm, a historical event, and a metaphor. As a farm, a plantation is a tropical or semitropical estate that cultivates cash crops like cotton, tobacco, coffee, or sugarcane. Plantations are labor-intensive and often rely on low-wage, unpaid, or enslaved workers. In the US, the plantation system declined after slavery was abolished, with many plantations being divided into smaller farms.

This place used to be great. Not sure if the owners switched hands. Compared to all the coffee shops nearby, they appear the same. Could use some updates. It's way too loud in here to get anything done without headphones. The leather in most of the chairs are all ripped and the bar stools are not actually comfortable to sit and enjoy anything. The breakfast is now not here besides some sugary pastries and bagels. Unfortunately, won't be back.

The reviews saying it needs a renovation is missing the charm of this place. Not your typical Scottsdale vibe. It's quirky, cozy laid back, the furniture is worn, and it's an older crowd. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Fast wifi. Coffee is great - I get an iced americano. Great flavor, great prices. I haven't had any food yet. This has become my regular spot!

Hands down the best coffee in north Scottsdale. I have been coming to The Plantation for years now when vacationing in the area. Something about it just hits the spot everytime.

Place is cozy, nothing super special except l they have a lot of comfortable seating. Planned to grab a cup for water first, then ordering a coffee, as I wanted to sit and work for a while. I went to the counter, asked for a cup of water and the employee looked at me dead eyed and said “dollar” that’s it, lol. Decided to just finish my work and left.
