Don! Oh we had no idea! I've been coming here since I was a baby with my family! We love you Don and will miss this place. All our love - the Moran family!!!

This was an amazing Chicago style steak house. The food was perfect every time. The service was on point. Unfortunately, Don & Charlie's closed as of the 10th of April. From what I've read they are going to build a boutique hotel on the property and might have a Don & Charlie's in there. It is sad that this is happening. A truly authentic and scrumptious establishment is leaving, and another hotel in Scottsdale is being built. This is a restaurant that cannot be replaced, replicated, or duplicated. Don & Charlie's will be missed by the entire Arizona community and everyone who traveled near and far to enjoy. Good bye Don & Charlie's.

We had to go make a final visit before they closed the doors for good.

Legendary Scottsdale steakhouse, sadly closing on April 10 (knocking down the building to erect a new hotel). Very good food here - good prime rib and steaks, and the original sauce on the baby backs is outstanding. The signature attraction is the incredible collection of sports memorabilia. If you want to go before they close, your best bet is to arrive at 4:45 when they open, and get bar seating, which is FCFS.

When I first came to Phoenix in 1989, the restaurant business was on hard times.

Just ate my last meal there unfortunately because they are closing in 2 days. First meal was just as excellent as the last. I will truly miss this place

Spectacular baseball memorabilia collection! The place was so crowded it didn't matter that we had no reservations, we just pushed through the crowd and looked at the walls (and ceilings). Solid cocktails and courteous service at he bar in spite of an overwhelming rush. I'm sad this is closing, but I'm really glad I got to see it. You should too. It's worth the extreme bustle. Mostly baseball,a few items from other sports.

That was our last time at Don & Charlies since it is closing April 10th. We have 30+ years of wonderful meals(birthdays and anniversaries ), terrific atmosphere and the best service in all of Phoenix. We will truly miss Don and his great restaurant.

Say it ain’t so! I heard it was closing down but when last there was told it was downsizing. I go several times a year. Everything I tried was spot on delicious. Steaks, ribs are probably the most popular. Friendly, prompt service and the big hook is the wall to wall, ceiling to ceiling sports memorabilia. Babe Ruth ball is there among many others. Reservations are a good idea. Probably the craziest most Funtime is Cactus League. Last year the table next to us was 5 San Francisco Giants ! Very cool.

This is a really cool place for special occasions. It was my husband‘s birthday and my in-laws took us here for the first time. The kids had a blast looking at all the pictures of all kinds of memorabilia. It’s a great place for all ages. The food was a bit underwhelming but still very glad I went.

Great atmosphere and great service! The food was very tasty and delicious! Excellent place for dining in with your partner for an anniversary dinner... Recommending the Shrimp Scampi and Prime Rib! Goes well with an Old Fashioned Cocktail! Compliments to Jeff, our gracious server who made our dinner very enjoyable...

Amazing place to grab a meal of meat, bbq, chicken or fish. Better go soon before it's no more. Such great memories eating at this classic steakhouse establishment for over 30 years!

We are from out of state and were looking for a steakhouse to have dinner at. We researched several spots and decided to try Dan and Charlies because of its rating. We wanted a more low key atmosphere, which we got. Classic look and feel, casual not too casual. We had a great wait staff and were seated promptly. Overall we loved our night. The food was good and piping hot. Great ribeye but the star of the night was the prime rib. One of the best we've had and we're from a cattle friendly state. The only downside was the shrimp cocktail. It was so-so. They were big but tasted a little fishy and the atomic sauce was too much. I wish wed been told it was that hot, I wouldn't have spent the money for it. Overall, we would come again if we're in the area and we had a nice dinner.

OMG, I love this place. The steaks are perfection. Sides are yummy and huge (plan to share). And the service is well above average. It's not inexpensive, but it's worth it for a treat. Not fancy or stuffy. Very much a Chicago vibe.
