OK I’ve got to be upfront about Eddie V’s – it’s a Seafood Lovers Paradise and a Foodies’ superb Haven. It isn’t cheap, but you more than get what you pay for, then some, and then some more. It made for a super enjoyable date night for my wife and I. Albeit I can almost guarantee that most folks who visit Eddie’s and can regularly afford this as I noticed around me, are not so much into the food but the atmosphere, the opulence and maybe, just maybe the excellent food, but more into the company they are with, the comfortable surroundings, and I must say, themselves! Although my wife and I were into most of that, the food with the atmosphere is what really makes Eddie’s extraordinary! As they advertise, they most definitely are a stylish and sophisticated fine dining experience. Their expansive, multi-room, sheik, classy and chic atmosphere lends to the intoxicating background with subtle live music wafting through the air (not too loud, just right) for a perfect evening of conversation, harmony, cuisine, pleasing audible resonance and leisure. The dusk was exulted by an incredible offering of exceptional and brilliantly prepared cookery. We started the evening with my fave Grey Goose Extra Dry Martini with 2 pimento olives and 2 cocktail onions, perfectly prepared, and my better half’s Grey Goose Cosmopolitan - exceptional. Magnificent renditions and Kudos to the ‘Tender! At the discretion of the Chef, this evening’s amuse Bouche of Watermelon Gazpacho, we was totally unprepared for – it was extraordinary in its subtlety and finesse, was an incredibly delish hors d'œuvre. For starters our selections of the Maine Lobster Bisque, smooth to the palate, savory and full of flavor, with an extraordinary Crème Fraîche (yes, with the perfect amount of Cogñac added), and their Classic Caesar Salad with a just perfect amount of dressing was seasoned without being overwhelming was fantastic. Our Entrées were exceptional. My selection of the “Chef's Seasonal Fish” a Mediterranean Branzino (Sea Bass) basically and caringly Broiled, I requested skin on, and simply seasoned with olive oil, lemon and sea salt and served with Asparagus was incredible – it was tender, moist and exuding with natural flavor, enhanced only with its basic preparation. This filet was excellently prepared and meticulously presented – adding to the sumptuous arrangement. My wife decided on a wonderfully prepared tender and awesome Norwegian Salmon with a perfectly rendered and delicious Kentucky Rye Whiskey and just the right measure of mustard Glaze served over tender and fresh Baby Carrots and gently Sautéed Spinach. The Au Gratin Potatoes we ordered for a side were stupendous. We wrapped up our dinner outing with my Wife’s choice an excellent rendition of Bananas Foster Flambé Butter Cake and I a delish Fresh Seasonal Berries with Cream. We topped everything off with Branson VSOP Brandy and Fonseca Bin 27. Magnifique! If you’re in the mood for romantic, tranquil, company and conversation – not to mention some of best culinary experiences in the Valley, this is the place for you… and us. Bon appétit!

Came for a company dinner. I was surprised that my steak ordered medium rare (closer to rare) was nothing short of well done. There were very few options for substitutions for gluten free and dairy free sides and in general. Allergy crowd beware.

Eddie V’s serves prime steaks vs. many other restaurants (like capital grille) This is a no brainer for steak lovers. I celebrated an anniversary recently at Capital Grill and had a 22 ounce rib eye last night at Eddie v’s.
Eddie V’s wind “hands down”. (Very similar price)

Arrived hungry on time for our reservation. Chef failed to cook my husband's filet mignon well done. We sent it back four times. I ate my food while husband shared mine. Two hours later (not an exaggeration) my husband gave up. Niko the manager and Onna the server witnessed the dinner served not as requested each time. Deborah another manager came and tried to convince my husband to eat the meat. I had to tell her that my husband no matter what will not eat it if it's pink. She then took away his plate hastily. I also let her know the sprite was flat. She brought me back another flat soda. Her customer service was terrible. She looked like she didn't want to be there since the moment we arrived. I saw a bartender try to sing to her to lighten her mood and she brushed him off. She does NOT belong in a management position at a four money sign restaurant. All I can say is Niko and Onna were very apologetic and compensated us for the terrible experience on my husbands birthday. The filet mignon was raw and inedible. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, Crab fried rice and asparagus. Fortunately that was good. We love the Eddie V's in Palm Desert, CA. Rolo the bartender/server has always made sure our food and drinks are served nothing less than perfection every time we go there.

After having a bad experience and posting this bad review, I got a call from Stuart the manager. My husband reshared our experience to him. We appreciated the call. Stuart was sincerely apologetic and offered to give us a gift card. This follow up call after my review means he truly cares about our experience and cares about his role in this establishment to fix the flaws in the restaurant. We thank you!

First dining experience here, but we have enjoyed all the local steakhouses including Steak 44, Elliott’s, and their neighbor Dominick’s, all offering equal excellent service and steaks. Our server was unfriendly and rushed, made it apparent he just wanted to flip our table. In spite of all the support staff standing against the wall, we had to flag people down for water and tea refills. There were at least 4 times my husband flagged down a staff member. I was never offered a 2nd cocktail or provided a wine list to complement the steak and since our server rarely stopped to do anything but drop something at the table (literally dropping a fork in my lap and spilling another tables beer), I never got to ask for it. The pictures depict that easily 3-4 oz of my 8oz filet was pure fat and inedible. I’ve never had that happen at any steakhouse-the kitchen never should have cooked and served this to a customer. Took it home for the dogs. For being in such an ideal location and the beauty of the space, service and the steaks were extremely low grade and given this was our first experience, we will not return. The banana cake and the free bread were the only highlights but not special.
