Disappointed… food was VERY good, customer service was NOT. Went for dinner (8/2) to celebrate our mother’s BIRTHDAY only to be rushed out the door seconds after paying the bill. A “Manager” that hadn’t spoken to us all night, walks up after we had just payed the bill, doesn’t ask how our evening was or acknowledge our celebration and tells us that he NEEDS us to leave because there is “another reservation” meanwhile there were MULTIPLE EMPTY booths all around us. Just left a bad taste at the end of the night to be rushed out in what would’ve otherwise been a GREAT evening.

Place has a lot of potential but a lot of Scottsdale over hype as well. Not many complains one thing for sure. They need to leave you alone when you eat. Feels like they're rushing you to eat. We were asked multiple times it we were ready to move on while literally having food on the plate and fork. I got it but still give it more than 7 minutes for one to enjoy their time with their family and meal.

We enjoyed a wonderful date night at Etta Scottsdale—the cocktails and the pastas were the highlights.

Etta: Great Drinks, Good Food, Service Needs Work
Etta in Phoenix offers a chic, upscale atmosphere and an excellent bar program—I even found a rare tequila! The food was genuinely good; the Wagyu steak with carrots and mashed potatoes was a highlight, as was the chocolate cake.
However, the experience was let down by slow service and an unusual situation of frequently changing waiters. While the drinks and specific dishes shine, be prepared for potential service inconsistencies.

Great food and aesthetics (decor, layout). Went for a date night with my husband on a Saturday. Tons of singles in groups. Felt almost like Old Town Scottsdale vibe. Is that what it's supposed to feel like? The music (live DJ) was louder than what I would prefer. But the food made up for it. I would go back, but earlier in the evening.

Disappointing Birthday Dinner Experience

We came here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and had a reservation for 9:00 PM. We arrived at 8:55 PM but weren’t seated until 9:30 PM. Once we were finally seated, no one came to our table until 9:45 PM. A staff member—not our server—came by and asked if we “wanted service.” We were confused, and when we asked if he was our server, he said no, but that he could help us “for a little.”

Shortly after, our actual server arrived. She didn’t offer a greeting or acknowledge the delay—just said, “I’m ready to take your order.” By this time, it was 10:00 PM, and we were extremely hungry, so we told her we wanted to place our full order all at once. She offered us a complimentary Caesar salad, which we appreciated.

The salad came out within 10 minutes, and we finished it quickly. When we asked how long the rest of our food would take, she told us she hadn’t placed the rest of the order yet because she wanted us to “enjoy the salad first.” That was the final straw. We decided to walk out. It was the worst birthday dinner experience we’ve had.

To make things worse, while waiting for our table, we ordered four espresso martinis, which ended up costing $150. The price was shocking and just added to the overall disappointment.

The sauce on the flat iron was absolutely nauseating, there was more fat on the steak than I have ever seen. I have given this restaurant a couple chances now and it has always been a complete waste of money, by far the worst bang for your buck in the entire valley.

If you are looking for somewhere to go for a special occasion or just a night out, you definitely need to try Etta. The restaurant is beautiful, with a great energy & welcoming ambiance. We went on a Thursday night and there was a DJ. He played a sort of light tropical house that made me want to be on a beach somewhere. All the cocktails were fresh & flavorful. The Flaming Burrata was delicious & we definitely enjoyed the optics of it being set ablaze. The meatballs had a great flavor & we loved the sauce ( I think it is the same sauce used in the Burrata). The Truffle Filet was tender and had a delicious flavor. We ordered multiple spicy rigatonis for the table & it was a hit with everyone. Just the right amount of heat. From the host, to servers, to manager, everyone was attentive, available, & friendly. Etta really has a unique atmosphere & energy. We will be back.

Took my son for his 16th birthday and overall food was good but pricey which I had already anticipated. We asked for leftovers to be packed to go and somehow ended up with someone else’s meal. I understand that restaurants are busy and just out of protocol called the restaurant to let them know what happened and needless to say was informed that there was no manager on site and that someone would reach out to rectify this. I have not heard back from anyone and with that said probably won’t be going back there. Think customer service should come first and unfortunately was let down in this instance.

Celebrated our friend’s birthday tonight and the service was absolutely terrible from the main waitress, Mackenzie! The waitress’ helper was amazing! She could learn from him! She didn’t checked on us once and we had to flagged her down a few times to order more drinks! She was supposed to bring out our friend’s birthday desert, which she didn’t and we ended up leaving after no signs of dessert! She saw us leaving and made no attempt to let us know about the cake! The food was better than the service!

Great atmosphere and food, service was Excellent, my friend has several dietary restrictions and it was handled without issue. Kevin is a great waiter and Bryan really has fine dining down to a science.

Sat at a table in the bar. Loved the food although we felt the value for the amount we ate maybe wasn't in line.

We came here to celebrate our daughter’s high school graduation and had the best experience! The ambiance was beautiful, the music set the perfect mood, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was top notch warm, welcoming & attentive. They even surprised us with a complimentary celebratory dessert, which made the evening extra special. A perfect spot for a special night out in Scottsdale!
