I've eaten at Fontana a handful of times and enjoyed it more and more with each visit. Plus, it's on LocalDines, so it's cheap! Here's what we've tried: Veggie Burger - available on either a gluten-free tortilla or a big, sesame seed bun, this bright green, delicious veggie burger is complete with tomato, veganaise and rice cheese. If you don't like soft veggie burgers, don't order this. Personally, I loved it. Pasta - Kamut or gluten-free pasta available, brimming with vegetables. A simple, filling dish that won't weight you down. It was tasty, but you could probably whip it up in your kitchen if you had the patience. Belgian waffles - They're gluten-free! They're also smothered in coconut cream, almond butter, and bananas. Whole food decadence at its finest, for breakfast. Eggs Frittata - This basic egg, rice cheese & vegetable scramble was hearty and healthy. No butter or cheese, unlike most breakfast places. Plus, it comes with a delicious whole grain English muffin and jam. Yum. Bonitos Burritos - A gluten free, dairy free cheesy burrito? AWESOME. The rice, beans, vegan cheese, and veggies in this gf tortilla made me forget that I missed authentic Mexican food. Mousse - Layers of banana, chocolate avocado pudding, and almond butter. It was so hearty I had it for dinner. Maybe a little heavy on the almond butter, though. Parfait - This is the best dessert ever. Bananas, strawberries, chocolate pudding, almond butter, and a bunch of other delicious things combine to make the healthiest dessert I've ever had at a restaurant. I'm ordering this one again. Coconut Cheesecake - a coconut cream and macadamia nut confection. This dessert is hardly sweetened, but oh so creamy and rich. Definitely satisfying, and no sugar crash afterwards! Blissachino - This coffee-esque beverage has strong notes of banana, honey and super foods like maca and mesquite in it. Awesomely healthy. All in all, I'm impressed. I definitely think this place could have a strong following if they appealed more to the new-age healthy, raw, and veg-head crowd. After all, how many restaurants offer maca, mesquite, cacao, three kinds of nut butter, five kinds of milk, raw cereal, honey, agave, and coconut crystals? Oh, AND they serve an epic breakfast selection all day (Vega protein shakes, chocolate-nut butter-banana sprouted paninis, coconut yogurt parfaits? Hell yes.) I'll be back again, but like any new restaurant, they need our help getting their name out there!
