We went to Franco's for a large group gathering, and the staff went above and beyond to help accommodate within their small, intimate space. Unfortunately we were about 30 people deep, and the staff were a bit overwhelmed so service was super slow. We were the first in and the very last to be served hours later. The food was traditional Italian, with homemade pasta and bright sauces across the variety of dishes that we ordered. Decent food, nice staff, but Scottsdale overpriced prices.

Derrick and his team were amazing and very attentive this evening.
He was very knowledgeable about the menu and his small gestures went a long way for it being our first time.
Food was great- pricier than avg however quality makes up for it. (Stay over at Olive Garden if you're one of those)
We will definitely be back- thank you once again for the great experience.

The cheesecake and chocolate torte our tip top. Paired with prosciutto melon, ravioli, and some excellent wine. I would go back here anytime.
Following the last leg of our motorcycle trip we got into town and decided it was time to have a great Italian meal. This place was not far from our hotel and had extremely high ratings so we called and made a reservation. They gave us the time slot we wanted on a busy Saturday night. We absolutely loved it and Gabe was our waiter. been to a lot of Italian restaurants and so far this is the only one we've been to that serves complimentary meat and cheese when you order your drinks. They did bring fresh breads and olive oil. They had a range of specials to delight any pallet. We dined on a delicious roasted pork loin dish as well as linguine and clams cooked in a white wine and garlic sauce. The food was absolutely delicious and authentic! They had a notable wine list and we chose one of our favorites, Barbaresco! We finished off the evening with a house made limoncello. They clearly know what they're doing when it comes to preparing great Italian food at Franco's! We can't wait until the next time we're back in Scottsdale to swing by for another delicious meal. We highly recommend it!
I visited Franco's Italian Caffe in Scottsdale after seeing its strong reviews, but the experience didn’t quite match the expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a rather disengaged and unenthusiastic host. While we chose to overlook that, the service continued to feel underwhelming.
Our waiter was polite and helpful with the menu, even accommodating off-menu requests for our kids—which we truly appreciated. However, he lacked warmth and came across as robotic, which felt out of place for a restaurant of this caliber. Other staff members, especially some of the older waiters, were loud and disrupted the atmosphere the restaurant seemed to be aiming for.
On the bright side, the food was solid and well-prepared. The flexibility in creating dishes for the kids was a nice touch. With some improvements in staff engagement and ambiance, this place could live up to its reputation.
Loved our meal, authentic Italian, deep heritage restaurant
Great spot. Nice and quiet, phenomenal food and service. Highly recommend.
We had dinner here for the second time. The first was about 5 years ago and at that time left us with a feel of "so-so". But, Franco's continues to have a high rating; so we decided to give it another try. The place has had an up-grade in looks...very nice and upscale, but the food...not so much. My wife's veal dish was tough and without much taste, and my linguine and clams were...well, it was linguine/clams and no big deal. Except for the price of $42. It was no better than other restaurants in Scottsdale who sell it all day for $21-27 bucks. Our veal dish, besides being tough to eat was also wayyy over priced. Our meals Price-to-Value ratio was very out of balance...my opinion is the $130 price we paid [ with one beer and one glass of wine but w/o tip and taxes] value was around $55...the balance was restaurant mark up. If price-to-value means nothing to you...well, this is the place to go.
The food was amazing, but it was the service that really stood out — Anthony made the night so special for us!

Atmosphere is old school. Think Sinatra. Great food and watchful service. Our party of six had a great night.
I discovered the restaurant by accident. I was a walk-in. And to my pleasant surprise my dining journey started. Starting with a warm welcome at the door. I was sat quickly, my waited Dino came over to introduce himself with a friendly smile & menus in hand. Started with a main meal of fettuccine with a meat sauce made in house of course. With a glass of a dry red wine 🍷 A perfect compliment. I had such a large serving of pasta that I was not able to finish it. Not to fret, I took the balance home. I was offered some beautiful dessert but I had to pass it up. If I didn’t have room to finish my main course, I certainly didn’t deserve a dessert.
Next time you are in the Scottsdale (Old Town area) AZ make sure to put Franco’s Italian Caffee on your dining list.
This is an Amazing Italian restaurant that makes you feel like you are in a small Italian town in the heart of Italy. The dishes offer a tour of the most unforgettable flavors, From appetizers, pastas, to lamb shanks and veal. We tried it all dining both nights of our three day business trip to Scottsdale. David was our 5 star waiter who exudes foody passion and professionalism that hss been a dying art when dining out. This is my new favorite Italian restaurant in America. Chow
Truly one of the best steaks I’ve ever tasted. Super flavorful and the cook was perfectly medium rare. I had the Bistecca Fiorentina. My wife had the Pasta Erne Aromatiche which is apparently eggless pasta noodles. It also was amazing. 5 star service!
Overpriced, mediocre food. So many better choices in Scottsdale. This used to be one of the better Italian restaurants in Scottsdale years ago, but with VERY average food and high prices, there's no need to go back.
