BIG place with plenty of seating. our server was accommodating and honest with suggestions. portions were LARGE. we were served the traditional salsa and chips upon arrival along with a bean salsa which were both delicious. when we requested refills, we were charged, which to me is a little odd... prices were a bit HIGH, in my opinion,

Where do I start?? Angelica was an amazing host and yupita made these amazing drinks called the emotional support dragon. I told Angelica to give me the spiciest platter she could offer and boy did not disappoint. I had the green chile burro enchilada style. This is hottest platter I’ve had anywhere around the world. Plus the combo of pork and beef was just luscious. Definitely recommend to set a side of sour cream to offset this crazy spice ?
10/10 can’t wait to come back

Seated right away, however you could see that you're short staffed and the greeters, the waitresses and possibly the cooks are overworked and it surely shows. Not that it's the publics business to knw wht ur lacking in certain areas but the atmosphere was hardened and definitely stale. Had to remind them of different things that were going on.

Margaritas are great. The interior decoration is nice and updated. Bathrooms constantly smell of urine? Workers are polite but nothing more. Food price does not match the quality unfortunately. In stating that, i feel it is only fair to price food at the quality it is being served, especially if people come in to spend their hard earned money. No presence of salt in the food, feels microwaved, doesn't taste like much, Presentation can be sloppy less than often, and gave me a stomachache later in the night. Drinks are more watered down with ice and hardly any liquor gets manually poured into the drinks..The automatic margarita dispenser is the better option is you want the best bang for your buck. If you're someone who doesn't know anything about mexican food or how to cook in general, this place would be okay for you. But knowing that even taco bell taste sligthly more appetizing & isn't charging more than what its worth (sometimes), makes customers feel ripped off. If you don't believe my review, just walk into this place in the day time & see for yourself. Seeing how the owner talks to customers who don't agree, doesn't make the restaurant more inviting.

Kid-friendliness: The first time I bought my grandkids in for dinner. They ordered the bean burrito. They are picky eaters.Dad makes homemade beans at home for their burritos. The kiddos loved the burritos so much they finished them at gecko grill. They never finished any food when we go out. The staff was so friendly!!!
Nice little hiding spot off McDowell Rd. The sweet corn tamales were good!

We went to Gecko Grill in Scottsdale for Father's Day today. Our food was delicious and the service was on point. Great chips, salsa and bean dip. Be sure to ask for the green salsa also. The con queso appetizer was a great addition to our various entries. Highly recommend Gecko Grill!
