Grimaldi's Pizzeria

Not my favorite. The pizza is super thin and has too much sauce. I've also never had a server read out loud to me how much my bill is when he sets down the device to pay at your table.

The Best Pizzeria! If anyone says different then give them directions to Lil Caesars

It was very cold in the restaurant. The table next to us with about six people were also very cold. The freezing temperature take effected the enjoyment of the dinner. Or 3 kind waiter did manage to get the air turned warmer. That lasted for a while and then it kicked on again before we were finished with our good. The pizza we ordered was just meh. We won't be going back.

Staff was accommodating to move us inside when asked. Can't fault the kids being excited at the birthday table. Drinks were quick to be ordered and served. Pizza was delicious and authentic to the two times I've had NY Pizza.

Based on the lineup outside we thought this place would be great. However, it was fairly underwhelming.

Service: friendly staff, but very slow to take the order and communicate.

Food: the pizza was not bad. The middle of the pizza was very doughy and not enjoyable. The crust itself was crispy and was good. Overall, a mediocre pie. 3/10

Price: not worth the price based on the food and experience. We paid $29 USD for a veggie pizza, our total bill for three 12” pizzas + salad was over $100 USD.

Atmosphere: it was a nice vibe inside - checkered table cloths and old images/awards/newspaper clippings on the wall. The restaurant was large and that takes away from the cozy vibe - no fault to them for this just my opinion.

Add: The spicy hot honey was very good..!

Overall, I was disappointed with our dining experience. This was definitely not the New York pizza I am accustomed to. The pizza came out lukewarm. Even though we had ordered extra cheese, the amount of cheese was sparse. There was too much sauce, and in some places, the sauce covered what little cheese there was. About the only part of the pizza that was up to snuff was the crust. Price was silly expensive.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria was a fantastic spot for our family during our vacation in Scottsdale. We enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere and appreciated the family-friendly vibe, especially with our 5-month-old grandson along. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure we all had what we needed, even helping us feel at ease with a little one in tow. The pizza was exceptional – thin, crispy crust with a perfectly balanced mix of fresh toppings. This place is ideal whether you’re with family or just looking for a top-notch pizza in Scottsdale. Highly recommend!
