Hiro Sushi is excellent. Super fresh fish, great service. The bluefin tuna sashimi waa the standout on my last visit, but I've always had great sushi here. Definitely the best sushi spot in the Valley.

Two times I tried to get there and both times it was packed and no seats available but I am pissed not because the place is doing ok but because twice I had to drive there all the way after calling them before heading that way. They always say they don’t do reservations but it’s some tables available then we go there and it’s “30-45 minutes wait”. Never again, really not worth it.

The fish here tastes incredibly fresh and high quality. If you’re looking for real, raw sushi done right, this is absolutely the place to go. Sitting at the sushi bar is a must for the full experience.

The rolls are on the expensive side, but you truly get what you pay for. One of the best parts is that you can ask the chef to make you a special roll (we always asks no cream cheese of course). The chefs genuinely love creating custom rolls, and everything we tried was amazing.

The only downside is the wait time and the fact that they don’t take reservations unless you come at the perfect time. We arrived on a Friday just 10 minutes after opening and still had a 1.5-hour wait. That said, it was 100% worth it. Highly recommend if you’re willing to wait for top-tier sushi

Loved how authentic it is. It’s always good to see the restaurants representing their own culture in a real way instead of pleasing the local culture and losing their own. Nice to taste the authentic sushi!!!

Best sushi I’ve had since living in Arizona. Fresh/Quality Sushi Selection, Miso Soup that wasn’t too salty, and a full restaurant at 9pm(always a great sign). Will be coming back!

Fantastic service, ate at the bar. Great chef. Excellent service. Music was a little repetitive and just a wee bit loud.

I had business in Scottsdale and came from out of state, and since the reviews were good, I was looking forward to trying their Japanese food, especially the Okinawa soba. At the entrance, there were photos showing that many Japanese celebrities had visited in the past. They don’t take reservations, so we walked in, and it took about an hour to be seated. From the entrance the place felt a bit old, and inside the restaurant it looked even more cluttered. The staff spoke Japanese and the service was good. However, the presentation of each dish was sloppy and disappointing. The Okinawa soba was also not the flavor we are familiar with, so it didn’t meet our expectations. The final straw was that the sashimi and sushi still had scales on it. I won’t be returning.

I tried this place because it share a name and star rating to my favorite sushi place (sushi hiro in Las Vegas, no relation) and I have to say the fish and the staff here are just as amazing. Def tied for top sushi place in the US IMO. The Toro Belly was amazing.
