Highly recommend! The food was amazing. So much flavor. We were surprised by how few people were in the restaurant, although it was tuesday night. Open Table showed no availability during the time we were, but it was practically empty. Our server was great.

Great drinks, food, decor and service. Anna did a friendly job serving and Kelly made sure the whole experience was positive.

What delicious food and great service. Two more showed up taking us from 2 to 4 and the server was on it and so friendly. The drink selection was great and the food was fresh with creative twists on classics dishes.

I was optimistic based on photos online. The design of the space is nice, but the lighting and ambience is bad. Could not hear any music and lighting was very bright to a dinner. Think cafeteria vibes. This does not rise above a hotel restaurant. With only 8 tables, we ordered a water and a beer and aguachile appetizer. The appetizer came out before the beer or water. The aguachile was terrific. But we left after that and went across the street to Roka for dinner.

We had an amazing dinner at Hecho Libre. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The standout items that we ordered would include the Street corn “esquites”, French Fries with homemade dipping sauces, and the carne asada tacos. Margaritas were also amazing. Highly recommend.

We love the newly remodeled hotel and new restaurant. Everything the 4 of us ordered was excellent. We started with the chips and salsa, the queso, and the bacon wrapped appetizers. For mains the halibut was excellent as were the fish tacos and the filet. Prices were very fair. We will be back!

We had great expectations - but they seemed understaffed. Out server was super gracious and clearly had too many tables. We felt bad for her. She took off our yellowtail (which was very fishy) and the chicken tacos which were cold. The chips and tomatillo Salsa was a highlight, and the drinks were very good nevertheless. The lighting was too bright and didn't have a night time date, or special occasion vibe.

They are brand new and experiencing opening pains. The atmosphere and design is very nice the woven tapestry on the walls and ceiling is excellent and the overall design for a small restaurant is very nice. The staff needs some polishing still and might be undersized - several times we noticed not one staff member on the floor and at one point the host was clearing tables. Also simple questions about the limited menu items offered didn't provide a confident answer and entree size, spice level and if it was even available. Food quality and taste was delicious. However the pace of the food coming out of the kitchen was very slow. Our dinner of chips guacamole salsa corn and four entrees and three sides took 2 hours+ from start to finish. We waited long times to receive food. Three of four entrees arrived at the same within a few minutes of each other while the fourth entree came 20 mins later. Several items came off our bill when it was presented by our server at the end of our meal without asking for compensation. However the manager never stopped at the table to offer apologizes in person or just check on us or any of the tables around us (who also experienced slow food service). Hospitality is key to success in Arizona and this restaurant is within a resort - I look forward to returning in a few months to try again. As the food was delicious but the service and speed of service was lacking and need improvement.

Super slow, menu didn't make sense, drinks bad, carnitas greasy, carna asada tacos had raw (not rare) meat. Inedible. Asked if the chicken was chicken breast - “mostly” and “probably” didn't instill confidence. Probably worst top 5 worst dining experiences. Best part was free parking. Good chips salsa.

Great flavors. Despite the hotel dining room setting and slow service, we had a very enjoyable breakfast.

We have been at JDs several times in the past 4 days. The most outstanding observation was that we had to handle the initiation - finding a table and staff - ourselves. Once that was done, we felt a welcoming atmosphere and met friendly staff. The food was good - one night pizza, another time french fries with truffle sauce and the third time Pretzels (both, happy hour dishes) - but not outstanding. We recommend JDs but not for a real sit-down dinner, rather for a snack with friends.

This is in the Scottsdale Plaza Resort and Villas. We stopped in after swimming and ordered shareables. The tuna nachos and meatballs are most delicious! Would visit again.

The server was very nice and friendly. The food took an unusually long time to arrive. I was sick afterwards, which was likely the hamburger
