La Locanda Ristorante Italiano

We waited over an hour to get sat down and it’s been over an hour and still haven’t gotten our food. If you are hungry don’t come here…not sure if we are ever going to get our food!!

A real gem in Old Town. Not noisy like most restaurants these days which is a real plus. Food was delicious and service was fast. Our vegan friends loved how they offer a plant based menu also. All in all a great find and a great experience!

This was our first time at La Locanda and our see Rafael was amazing and gave friendly, and timely check ins to our table and offered wonderful recommendations. We got the pesto pasta and the bread and a seafood pasta item and they are all fantastic. The food came out in a timely manner and was so flavorful.! We cleaned our plates and can't wait to go back.

Wow! Yes! A hidden gem. Amaaazing food and drinks. Fantastic food and service. Beautiful interior. Looking forward to going back!

Lovely plant-based/vegan menu! I had the penne arrabiata with spicy beyond meat. Good options and such kind staff. :)

Think the vegan menu could be a little cheaper and my vegan sausage and peppers dish came out more like an arrabiata. But it was good food amazing whiskey selection . Wonder what their vegan cheesecake is. Looking forward to seeing if their garlic bread is good.

Food was good. Servings very small. No offer of bread with pasta. Vegan cheesecake was two bites worth for $11, delicious but price was ridiculous for size. Our server was good. Men's bathroom was disgusting, looked like a bar bathroom at midnight and it was only 8pm when we were there. Unfortunately won't be recommending.

Fettuccini tastes really chewy! Seafood Rissoto from the Christmas menu is a must try!

I had a fabulous meal at La Locanda with my 2 daughters! From the moment we entered the restaurant it was an extraordinary experience, and the food and service were spectacular. Many thanks to the staff and chef for a wonderful time from start to finish.

Cozy and cute with great food and service. Don't skip it. Yes there are flashy restaurants, but these are the places you want to go. Delicious and wonderful experience!

Maybe it was an off night, but the experience makes me think there is new ownership, chef? Our standard order fare was noticeably different in flavor, preparation. The service was great however. Made my birthday special. We may give it another shot, but there are closer Italian restaurants in the valley we like.

I have always liked La Locanda and the food and service is always quite good, drinks are generously poured. The only reason for just 4 stars is because I was surprised at how much prices have increased. 2 people, 2 drinks and a cheap glass of wine, a couple of salads and veal marsala, shrimp risooto was $180 including tip. Seems a bit high to me. I know the reason will be "inflation", but it doesn't seem like other comparable restaurants have raised pricing this much. Unfortunately, this will make me think of alternatives the next time out for Italian food. The staff is all great, very friendly so it is not on them, but for $180 I think there are better choices.

Our party of 8 were treated like VIPs at our recent visit. The food was spectacular and the two in our group with dietary requests had their own vegan menu to order from! We will return on our next visit to Scottsdale!

I don’t understand how this place gets positive reviews. We’ve come here twice, the first time the service was terrible and the food was mediocre, but we thought maybe they were just having an off night. We gave it another shot tonight. Nope! We will not be coming back. My son had the chicken Parmesan, which was like rubber and I had the penne (sans protein), waiter charged me $26 for Penne and sauce that barely had any flavor. The waiter wasn’t rude per se, but he was so unhelpful. We won’t be coming back.

We had bruschetta, salads, chicken parm, bolognese and risotto. All delicious. Service was great. Drinks were a high priced for size but I would definitely come back.
