First visit to LA Locanda was perfect! Began with a warm welcome, then quickly seated even though we were almost 30 minutes early - and the entire party wasn't there yet. We enjoyed happy hour then a wonderful dinner. We were never rushed, despite being there a very long time. Drinks and food were great but the staff made the evening for us! Each staff member we encountered was professional, efficient and friendly. We were there during restaurant week - the offerings were varied and all excellent. Will definitely return!

La Locanda has the best Italian food that I have EVER had. I mean a true gem — it was highly recommended and we are so pleased that we gave it a try during our time here in AZ. Memo was our server and he was immaculate — very pleasant, great humor. We didn't need to ask for anything as he anticipated our needs. When in Arizona — stop here for a delicious meal. The dessert options were amazing as well! 10/10. Honestly.

A wonderful restaurant, with fantastic food! It's off the beaten path - but likely will be hard to get into once the hotel across the street opens. I love the cozy, yet elegant interior and the staff were all top notch. (For example, they waited till everyone at the table finished before clearing plates or bringing the next coarse- usually only high end places know this is proper.) Not crowded, but it's off-season, and we came very early- so it might be later on. I saw they have music sometimes- so I'll be back for that.

This was a restaurant week find for us. And WOW did we love it. A group of us came in last minute and had the best time and LOVED out 3 course meals!! Can't recommend this place enough. Best filet

We went here for restaurant week, but since I am gluten free and my friend is vegan, we decided to order off of the regular menu which looked great. I had the carpaccio and the beet salad with the dressing on the side. The carpaccio was sliced so wonderfully thin, it was very tasty, but unfortunately it was way too overdressed with olive oil which spoiled the arugula and avocado and would have been better without it. Next time I would ask for the oil on the side. The beet salad was wonderful, it was plated beautifully and didn't even need the dressing. I used a small but of balsamic vinegar on it and it was perfect. For drinks, i had the limoncello margarita. It was very tasty, a bit too sweet, I would have preferred more lime and a little salt, but that didn't stop me from drinking the entire glass and wanting more. my dinner companion enjoyed the vegan bruschetta and penne with sausage and peppers. He was a bit disappointed that the peppers were not what was advertised in the menu and said it was more of the vegan hamburger crumbles. I will go back again and experience a few more items plus the carpaccio with no oil. The service was fantastic, they were very attentive and helpful.
The food was very good and only surpassed by the excellent service. If you're interested in tasty authentic Italian food at very reasonable prices, along with excellent service, this is your place. Great location and wonderful ambiance. Great for romantic dinners as well as family celebrations.

Food was good but the plumbing and bathroom is disgusting. There is black mold in the bathroom toilet which makes me question the health quality of the food and water served

We couldn't get a reservation anywhere near old town Scottsdale. We found this restaurant and they had availability. Overall, it was fine. The food was decent and the ambience was fine. It didn't stand out, by any means. I wouldn't hesitate to go again if I couldn't get in somewhere else, but I would probably choose something different if I had more options. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves.
