Simple Italian Eatery. Serves a variety of large portioned meals to cater to a variety of diets, including plant based. Our family ordered all different meals and had the same consensus: fresh and delicious meals with friendly and fast service. Highly recommend to those who are out and about in Old Town looking for a great lunch.

Simple Italian eatery. Let me start by saying I am a retired chef of 14 years owning an Italian restaurant. Spent 6 weeks traveling throughout Italy last year with my wife eating at dozens of restaurants, some Michelin starred. While La Locando will not impress you, it will also not disappoint you if you know exactly what you're going in for. The food was fresh, generous portions and simple but tasty. First, the calamari, it was fresh and tender with a clean tomato sauce and lemon wedge. Next, we had four cheese ravioli, easy-going, and cooked al dente with a nice, flavorful, more rich tomato sauce. We followed with a chicken parmigiana that was made well and satisfied. Then a light, creamy shrimp & penne pasta in alfredo sauce. Tiramisu and Panna cotta for dessert were delicious and some very tasty espresso. We enjoyed everything and wouldn't hesitate to return. Price is according to the fact that it's in Old Town Scottsdale ( read, touristy, and kitch). Service was very good, and ambiance is not pretentious.
Ignore the reviews that slam this delightful little spot. They're snobs who want to act like everything should be the Ritz.
Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a satisfying place to fill your belly!

Open on Thanksgiving and as usual, the food is excellent.
Our server Davis is outstanding. Friendly,
engages in conversation while working. He goes above and beyond for everyone.
Thanks David.
Blessings to you, Mom and Cody!

Beet salad was delicious! The spicy chicken Cajun pasta was a big disappointment😞 We had a total of three dishes. We all agreed it was not good. The chicken was bland, pasta sauce was not cajun. We do not recommend that dish at all. Bathroom was dirty and smelled awful. While eating all I could smell was bleach and cleaner. Made the atmosphere less desirable. I won't return if I ever visit Scottsdale again.

My friends and I came across La Locanda while walking around Old town Scottsdale. We had their ravioli and gnocchi and they were absolutely delicious! fresh, well portioned plates. The staff were very friendly and the food and drinks came out quickly. The staff were all friendly people and the pasta was fresh and perfect. it was a nice place to break from the hustle and noise of the old town party scene. 10/10
Josh the bar boy is amazing. What an asset to this place. Great food. Great service. Recommend.

Excellent food! My wife had the penne pesto and I had the blackened salmon! Both dishes prepared perfectly! Service was on spot!

$24 for a protein salad that had two shrimps, one scallop and some pathetic chicken.

Amazing dinner experience. The Italian food was phenomenal. The iced tea was amazing. I really appreciated the ambiance as well, very relaxing. I would highly recommend this place for a date night experience.

Worst “so called Italian food” we ever had. The Marsala sauce tasted like tomato soup.
The salad was bathed in balsamic vinaigrette and the chicken parmigiana was very dry soaked in hunts tomato sauce. We arrived at 6:25pm and were done eating by 7:20pm., obviously this was not a fresh cooked meal. When reservation was made we noted it was our 37th wedding anniversary, no acknowledgment was made whatsoever. We left with a great regret for choosing this place for such an important occasion .
