Lolo’s Chicken and Waffles is always one of my go-to spots when I’m in Arizona and craving some real soul food. The food here consistently delivers. The biscuits and gravy are unbelievable, the cheese eggs are fantastic, and this time we also had the chicken gizzards and catfish bites, which were both excellent. It looks like they’ve remodeled since my last visit, or maybe it’s just been a few years, but the place has a slightly different vibe now. There’s even a DJ booth, which isn’t a bad idea, except the DJ mostly sat on his phone the entire time while a pre-made playlist ran. Not like I’m making requests at a breakfast spot, but it does affect the overall ambiance a bit. That said, the food is still some of the best soul food I’ve had in Arizona, and I’ll definitely keep coming back.

But every now and then they have a DJ playing. Tracks are great, . The volume on a scale of 1 to 10 is 10+ club level, Crazy loud. Can barely have a conversation..

Straight 🔥! Was told about this place by one of my boys stationed in Tucson, and this place did not disappoint. The staff were very courteous and hospitable. The food was ridiculously good. My son who is picky said this was the first time we've been to a restaurant where everything was great. We will definitely be returning here when we come to Phoenix! The only knock on it was the music was too loud and we had to yell in each other's ear to hear ourselves.

UPDATE MENU ITEM NAME—— MISLEADING

I recently ordered the hot links from Lolo’s, and unfortunately, my order was not what was advertised. The menu description clearly states that the dish comes with a waffle, eggs with shredded cheese, and a hot link on top. The photo reflects that full meal as well. However, I only received a side of 3 hot links.

I called the store and spoke with the manager to confirm I wasn’t misunderstanding the description. It becomes a headache when the issue gets passed off to DoorDash, because the real problem is the restaurant’s inaccurate description. When you go through DoorDash, they often issue a refund that’s less than what you actually paid at the restaurant. That means the customer ends up losing money, while the restaurant and manager walk away without dealing with the inconvenience.

Today, that’s exactly how it felt. I had to raise a whole issue just to get enough of a refund to reorder my food without paying more out of pocket. That shouldn’t be the customer’s burden.

This is simply feedback: please review your menu descriptions and make sure they are accurate. Clear and correct information prevents confusion, frustration, and unnecessary back-and-forth for everyone involved.

I’m extremely disappointed with this place. The price listed in the menu was NOT the same as what I was charged. The menu showed one price, but on the receipt they charged me more.
When I asked about it, they told me it’s “not their problem” because their menu is old. Seriously? How is that the customer’s fault? If your prices changed, UPDATE YOUR MENU. Don’t lie to customers and then refuse to take responsibility.
They also refused to refund the difference, which is completely unacceptable. This is misleading and unprofessional business practice.
Be careful when you order here. Check your receipt because they might overcharge you and then blame their own mistakes on you.
I will definitely NOT come back and I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Phoenix location, the food was not good at all. It was bland and nothing had seasonings. I do not recommend unless you have money to throw away. We had a group of 6 and no one asked for a carry out box.

Foood was cold and took ONE HOUR to come and service was awful gave us the wrong drinks and when we complained we were informed they do not return alcohol. The wait alone took almost 2 hours

Bill came out and was beyond over priced and we complained about all four of our meals

Would highly NOT recommend !!!!!!!!!!
