A lil disappointed with the torta. Too toasted and salty. The burrito my man got was good, so was the tacos. Horchatas was always goods. Maybe better luck next time.

When this restaurant first opened, the food was amazing and the service was great. I am not sure if they changed management but they were horrible. If you decide to order food from here CHECK YOUR ORDER. Just recently, I decided to give them another chance. When placing the order I strictly advised them not to put any ONIONS on my food due to allergies. She understood, I went in person to pick the food up. Again, confirmed NO ONIONS. I trusted her word. I got home, checked my food and BOOM pico de gallo with ONIONS. I called them to let them know that I needed my TORTA re-done without onions. The gentlemen on the phone laughed and said .. "Yea bring it back we'll re-do it."..... I go back and tell the lady I need to have it remade ..she brings a pen and paper and asks how I want it made. I told her that it should be done by now since it took me 15 mins to drive back. She said it hadn't, I was so upset that I asked for a refund. My mistake for leaving the receipt at home. She refunded me but refused to look up my order to see how she billed me. She only refunded me $10.15 when I got home I checked my receipt and because I had ordered Avocado. She actually owed me $12.75. I didn't bother to argue, but thought ... LET ME LEAVE A YELP. They are HORRIBLE. Going to La Favorita is BETTER and CHEAPER. Or going to Vallartas on Laguna Blvd.

Ok experience, first time ordering from this place. We ordered a cali burrito, I think that's the name, but they forgot the avocado and fries. I ordered a marinated pork quesadilla and it was hard to chew. Way overcooked since it was stiff and coarse. Found this out after we got home. Will not be coming back again.

Be sure to check your order! Placed an order for a wet chimichanga but with the sauce on the side and topped with lettuce. Emphasized I didn't want the chimichanga to be soggy when I had to drive all the way near Rancho Cordova. When I opened the container, the chimichanga was buried in sauce and there was no lettuce. When I called to inform them about the mistake, the girl who took my order just said sorry it was her mistake. There was no offer to remedy the mistake or show any customer service. Also, just for your information, not all the cooks are wearing masks during this COVID-19 outbreak. IMHO, any one preparing food should wear a mask for the safety of their customers and co-workers.

Everything is good about the place except the price there way over than I thought it was and the place is clean but if your bringing friends or family you need to have a budget this place cost as much as a buffet if your not carefull overall i think this place is good but price matters.

***Forgot to post, this was prior to Covid*** All I can say is how in the world did we not know about this place?! We went in on taco Tuesday which is tacos for I think $1.75 each. We also purchased a kids meal and Molcajete. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! The carne asada, lingua, carnitas, chicken, all of it! But don't get the ground beef...it was a little over cooked. We got it for my daughter and it was a bit burnt. Lol Not to bother me enough to lower the stars. The flavors were so unreal and delicious. I'm blown away!! What a perfect place to eat after a long day. Nice open restaurant, amazing selection for salsas and grilled onions, as well as additional items available for you to eat along with chips. Awesome prices, amazing flavors, lady who looks like she's running the show seems unimpressed and not very pleasant to order from, and seems extremely annoyed. The gentleman was very nice. ***life after Covid*** Husband was craving tacos and where other to go then here. He was very satisfied and happy with all the flavors in his tacos. He couldn't finish his plate lol portions are huge, so share with a loved one or friend!

I was really looking forward to Pozole, but after reading the review about the over saltiness I didn't want to take a chance that I would not be able to eat it. Instead I opted for a carnitas quesadilla - we also had a taco salad and tried a fish taco. The salad was a hit with the spouse, the flour tortilla shell bowl adds to the experience. The fish taco was pretty good especially with the flavorful salsa. The quesadilla was okay, the carnitas seemed saltier than it needed to be but the lettuce and sour cream help to offset the saltiness. Cooks may want to consider reducing the salt used in the recipes - also, it would be great if there was an option for a smaller portion of pozole. Overall food was tasty and reasonably priced, I can see us returning.

Ordered for delivery, so I can't comment on the location but I had no issues with my food. From what I read on the prior reviews, the Carnitas were considered a highlight, so we ordered a Carnitas Super Burrito and Carnitas. The Super Burrito really hit the spot and they were not kidding about the quality of the Carnitas. My wife enjoyed her plate as well but there was definitely pieces of fat that she did not enjoy. We ordered a few other items for the family and it was all pretty good. The chips and salsa were nothing to write home about, but still filling. Definitely worth trying out and likely will check out this place in person when they open back up to dining service again.

Hands down some of the best carnitas in Elk Grove. Tender, full of flavor, and crisp. This place has seriously good carnitas. I've so far ordered it in both taco and breakfast burrito form, both are so good. Besides that, I really do like their al pastor and chorizo, but I keep going back to carnitas. Tuesday of course is the time to come. They gave a great salsa bar, the avocado sauce and hot red are my favorites. Huge slices of lime and thin slices of radish are of course present. I need to try their other items besides tacos and breakfast burritos, they have an extensive menu. Plenty of parking, friendly and quick service.

Came here because it had 4 stars on yelp. Unfortunately did not reach expectations for a place given 4 stars. Husband got super burrito carne asada his first impression was it was small! I got carne asada fries it was good but no wow factor. Beans taste off and they only got salsa roja no salsa verde. No guacamole salsa is not green salsa. I can see why others may rave about it but for me it wasn't authentic

My wife and I came for dinner last night and had a really good experience. First off, the menu is expansive with a lot of great options. It's a rather large venue with plenty of seating and space between tables which I prefer. We were instantly greeted when we walked in the door. We ordered a California burrito, a mixta tostada which had a mixture of octopus and shrimp (amazing dish) and a few tacos. One of the servers came and checked on us a few times to make sure we were satisfied. All of the food was really good and I will definitely be back.
