Tried to place a to go order before 13 minutes before they open, they took my call but told me they weren’t open yet.. why answer the phone and does 13 minutes matter?
Oh well, guess won’t be going there at all if they don’t want my business or too good to take me order a little early. Glad we never physically wasted our time there!

Truly 5 stars restaurant and a must try if you enjoy fine Italian cuisine
Service was friendly from the start with great attention to details. The pasta specials sounded so delicious but I went with the amazing lamb chops - which were cooked to perfection. I don’t think you go wrong with any dish in this place but the gelato is the best way to end a perfect meal
Do yourself a favor and visit Macellino

Old school Italian, have made pasta, great atmosphere. The outdoor patio is relaxing, but the indoor seating is lively. They had a singer the last visit, which was great for my mom visiting. The chocolate mousse is a go to dessert.

Food and service were great. We sat on the patio and had a great night. Didn’t realize the hours though and were rushed out a bit.

Marcelino’s patio is really attractive, and I especially like that it’s below street level shielding it from car noise.
Our friends loved their cocktails, and we enjoyed the selection of Italian wines - there’s enough variety for all budgets.
Our server was efficient and attentive, and we were never left wanting.
The only negative of all of our dishes was the mussels in a tomato-based sauce. The sauce was quite tasteless and definitely not at all spicy.

The atmosphere and service was good but the food was not great, especially for the money, which was more than any restaurant I’ve ever been in, including NYC. I thought I was hearing wrong when she showed us the pasta specials and quoted $40, $50 and even $68 for a pasta dish. 3 of the 6 of us ordered a $30 pasta dish with clams, least expensive item on the menu. Came with a few tiny tasteless clams and the worst pasta I’ve ever had. Homemade but thick, tough…not al dente but hard. My husband’s steak was good but the portions beyond ridiculously small. He ordered a salad so his meal alone came to $80. My first time in AZ so we wanted a special place to celebrate a graduation. We ended up paying more for dinner for six people than the price of both airfares. Wow!

Food, service and Ambiente were all outstanding. Everything was spot on from start to finish. They care about their guests. There’s only one thing to note & I think this can be worked on:
There is an automatic 20% gratuity charge & an additional asking for a tip. I think this is too much guys. Coming from out of country 20% is a hefty sum, but asking for an additional tip made us feel a little bit uncomfortable. Everything else was perfect. We would definitely go again and can only recommend it 🙏 Would go here any day over most establishments in old town. True quality, taste and authenticity.

An absolute gem for anyone who appreciates homemade Italian, fine wine, and ambience. The live music was fantastic. The chef was so kind to check on us throughout our meal and our server was so friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

Food disappointing, not served as written.
Our waiter was terrible. Basically totally ignored us and we were a party of six.
Live music so loud you could not converse with your guests

Amazing experience. Excellent cocktails, Great wine list. We started with the grilled calamari and grilled octopus specials that were cooked to perfection. Pasta was amazing. So fresh and beautifully cooked and presented. I went for the spinach and ricotta ravioli and absolutely loved it. Finished off with the flourless chocolate cake. The restaurant was busy, but not crazy noisy, the pace of service was perfect. Not rushed, time between courses and you could tell they genuinely wanted you to enjoy the experience.
First time dining there. Definitely a great environment with live music. Food was OK .Found it odd that they make your order the entire meal including starters before any bread is brought out.
The owner of this place most be very rich, we walked in asking for a table for 9 people and the hostess told us that they don’t have anything for 9 people and the restaurant was empty, she didn’t even gave us a waiting time or anything she just point blank said that she couldn’t do anything in a bad way, great job ??
