I really do like this restaurant and its food. But the live music is WAY too loud. Have been there twice in the last 6 weeks and every time all the people in my party always state the same thing that the LOUD live music is too much and distracts.
We love Marcellino's. Fresh pasta always a treat and Marco is an amazing server. Drinks also very good. Great atmosphere. Good for special occasions. Highly recommended.
We had an excellent dinner with great service from Sergio. Excellent cocktails to start. We had the Caprese and the special Burrata with Prosciutto appetizers. Our entrees were the Veal Scaloppine with Gorgonzola sauce and the special Dover Sole. Everything was delicious, and we had a nice bottle of wine too. Highly recommended!
This is the best Italian restaurant in Scottsdale! The food is second to none. Always the best ingredients and impeccably prepared. The service is top notch. My wife and I have enjoyed dinner at Marcellino's over the last 20 years and will continue into the future. Thank you!
Had our anniversary dinner here last night and it was wonderful. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Enjoyed every moment of the dinner. We were met with glasses of prosecco for our anniversary. One of our favorite places to go
We absolutely love the home made pastas, world class! Inventive, creative, really exceptional. Authentic atmosphere, love eating at the bar. Great cocktails and bartenders. True Gem!!!
Was a great experience for our anniversary. Staff treated us great and the food was amazing
My wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and we had a fabulous time. The food was out of this world, and Jen are server was more than accommodating. Was not our first time and won't be our last!
For our 30th anniversary dinner, we decided on Marcellino's after reading glowing reviews from other guests—and it truly exceeded our expectations. We were seated at a romantic table on the outdoor patio and welcomed with a complimentary glass of Prosecco to mark the occasion. Our server, James, was both professional and attentive, taking the time to present the evening's homemade pasta specials and recommend dishes from the chef. The meal was outstanding, transporting us back to Italy with its authentic flavors and impeccable quality. Highly recommend this restaurant!
This is an awesome restaurant in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. The drinks were fabulous and made just right. The service and ambiance was very nice (we sat outside in the patio). It was interesting that when we tried, the server said that the chef generally doesn't take customization requests and I suppose none was needed as the food was prepared perfectly. All their pasta was freshly made from scratch and tasted great. Prices are on the high side but overall quality experience made it worth.

We make Marcellino Ristorante an annual stop for dinner when we visit Scottsdale. The food, service, and ambiance were great as always.
You have the choice of eating inside or outside. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. I loved the way it was decorated. You will be comfortable at this establishment in business casual attire or if you wanted to get all dressed up for an evening on the town. When I was there, the owner was on site and I was able to talk with him. He is a very nice man. They make their own pasta. The wine selection is phenomenal.
Wonderful dining experience. Fortunately we booked an outside table as the walk through the restaurant was very noisy and the AC was cold. Our table on the patio was perfect. The server was very knowledgeable - explained the numerous specials clearly and offered options. We both had an infused pasta with seafood and a delicious tomato sauce. We shared a nice capresse salad and a chocolate desert. All we nicely presented.
Wondering if the night I visited with my party of 4 was just an off night. It was terrible. Incredibly disappointed by the mostly inedible and entirely overpriced - like insanely expensive - food. Nearly every bite lacked flavor and the basics of salt and pepper. Burrata was decent but not much to prepare. We shared a special pasta at $70 for the entree size. It consisted of maybe 10 noodles and a total of 1 sausage ground up. It was ok but the portion size was absurdly small for the single most expensive pasta dish I've ever had anywhere in the world. The paccita (I forget the name) was gummy (probably too much flour in the dough) and the sauce was perhaps the worst I've ever tasted and the sausage was again non-existent. Another special pasta made with infused pepper was very good and large portion. Bronzino was a good size but zero flavor. The single worst dish we had was veal piccata - not only were the 3 tiny pieces pounded to oblivion but it was over floured and under sautéed so it tasted like a bland, chewy piece of cardboard; the potatoes and vegetables had zero flavor and were undercooked. I should have refused to pay but I just wanted to leave. Zero alcohol consumed. And a bill of nearly $100pp. Literally among the worst meals of my life.
Marcellino is consistently excellent. I have never had a less than perfect experience. Food is always spot on, service attentive, staff very knowledgeable and professional.
