Our first time to experience this very well known Italian restaurant With both indoor and outdoor seating options available we chose indoor we wanted it to be a little more intimate to understand the field of the restaurant Hostess was absolutely accommodating and made sure to it that we were seated at a table that we were most comfortable with In addition to the menu, they have many specials. They explain the specials at your table. The service are especially well-versed can answer all of your questions at the end of the evening. All of our bowls were completely empty thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Being from the north east it almost felt like this restaurant was in Brooklyn or Philadelphia. It's very authentic do not miss an opportunity to experience this in Arizona. Bravo ‼️

Every time we go to Marcellino, we try to order one of their fantastic paste dishes - but each time the daily special is something we just cannot skip. We like pasta - but we love game. And Marcellino always has something of the latter (as one of their daily specials). This time it was venison - and we had to choose that. (Again, instead of the pasta which we always promise ourselves to get.) Of course, we never regret to choose the special. (We always tell ourselves "there is next time for the pasta".) Our server Christian was very attentive. And the Italian wine is always super.

Food was excellent as always. Our server, Marcos was very attentive and helpful. The live music was a very nice touch to the dinner but it was too loud. One of our favorites when we are in town. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing. We have been dining here for 17 years!! Everything from the pasta to the dessert is perfect. Being a born and raised New York Italian, It is wonderful to be able to enjoy real authentic Italian cuisine here. It makes me miss Mulberry street and Arthur avenue a little less

We had a good evening. Service was good. The bread basket, we thought, said a variety of bread but it was only one kind and average. Salads and desserts good. The only thing we had that I would not recommend was the gnocchi. Other pastas were good.

I was charged $23 for a basic gin martini ?. The food didn’t match the price point

Marcelino Ristorante is a long-time favorite of mine. When I want an exceptional dining experience I always select this restaurant. Furthermore, the speciality pasta dishes are probably the best I've had while traveling the world.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. The atmosphere was romantic lively and cozy. Food was top notch and the music was a lovely touch will definitely be back one of the best meals I've had in Scottsdale.

The food was average for a very expensive price. The service was extremely slow and non-attentive. Even after confronting the waiter and listening to his excuse, he still wasn't able to understand that disappearing for long periods of time did not lend itself good service. the restaurant is noted as romantic. We have been there before. It has seriously degraded in anything one would consider to be romantic.

Dim lit seating area with live band and Great appetizers. The off menu squid ink infused linguini with clams, mussels, and lobster was the best pasta dish I've ever eaten! Well worth the money

TERRIBLY OVERPRICED BLAND food, and OFFENSIVE dress code policy. Not at all worth the ridiculous amount of money. I ordered the Paccatelli and had to SEARCH for the sausage on the plate. The "special spread" for the bread tasted like flavorless colored hummus. My husband wanted a nice red-sauced dish to complement the EXPENSIVE bottle of Chianti we bought, but when we started to read the confusing menu, the server then tells us there are minimal red-sauce options. Really?? An Italian restaurant??? To top it all off, they did not even OFFER to comp our meal, despite only having 2 bites of our entrees. Oh, and ladies, don't wear a stylish hat unless you're comfortable being told to take it off because it's disrespectful to the owner's religious background. I have alopecia (hair loss), and hats are a great way to hide the problem. I had to excuse myself to the restroom and re-style my hair to mask the alopecia. How embarrassing! THANKFULLY, I was dining with family and not business associates. What a RIDICULOUS policy. I've had better service at McDonald's! Customers come to this RISTORANTE and pay TOP DOLLAR for subpar food. The very LEAST they can do is make their guests feel comfortable and welcome. If HATS are offensive to the owner, he has no business in the service industry. Having read the dozens of negative reviews, this is not an isolated incident. I am shocked this RISTORANTE has lasted as long as it has.

High quality authentic dishes, the waiters can answer all your questions and even with a full restaurant you get your order on time. Live music had a nice ambiance and was not too loud.

Service was excellent, food was fresh and very tasty. The octopus was a little chewy and the caprese salad needed more olive oil. The pasta dishes were very good. However, the specialty pasta was a little over priced for pasta and sauce. Next time I would just order off of the menu. Overall experience was great.

We sat at the bar, which was very enjoyable. Great atmosphere, fabulous homemade pasta, and attentive bartenders, though rather expensive for the serving sizes. Perfect for a date night or special occasion. Live music on Saturday evening was an unexpected treat.

Disappointed. To be fair, the four of us have been frequenting Marcellino Ristorante for over 30 years, since their first location in a strip mall at 12th street and Northern. This was the first time our small group of physicians and spouses met at the restaurant since COVID. We were finishing up our desserts and after-dinner Grand Marnier, when the heavy-set manager suddenly interrupted our conversation, telling us to leave our table or move to the bar area to finish our after-dinner drinks, stating that our particular table was reserved and needed to be turned for waiting guests. We were taken aback by the sudden demand, as neither their website nor Open Table mentioned a time limit on reserved tables. They could have notified us earlier so that we could have gone elsewhere for dessert and and after-dinner drinks. I thought the request was very rude and unprofessional for any restaurant, let alone such a “high-end” restaurant, and especially unfair since the waiter took around 30 min after our on-time arrival to finally drop by to take our drink orders. Never have we been told to immediately leave our dinner table for a turn by any restaurant in any country, neither in Italy from where the chef originated, nor anywhere else in Europe, nor in the USA. Something has changed. Possibly spoiled by their success? Not so “high-end” after all. Needless to say, it appears we have overstayed our welcome. We will not be returning.
