The food is very consistent, I was pleasantly surprised at how tender the steak (and eggs were). 100% Pure maple syrup can be found here. Casual no frills dining. Abundant portions. The homemade jam could be a little sweeter. The rosemary in the homemade potatoes Are absolutely delicious. As are the super plump juicy blueberries in the pancakes.

Not as good as it used to be.
Food mediocre at best and service very slow.
Took an hour to get our food.
Won't be going back.

Phenomenal food, complete with quality touches like fresh cream with the killer coffee, fresh strawberry preserves, and everything else you'd expect from a serious, old school breakfast spot. I loved it!

Cheese omlette (with bacon) is AMAZING! And what a deal - there are other (similar) places in Scottsdale that charge A LOT more than Matt's. I'm so glad that I work right across the street now and that they have made it so easy to order online from their website. (BIG plus for me!)

If you’re going to suck that hard at lunch don’t even bother serving it.

I’ve been to the location in downtown many times and love it. For some reason, the food here is not close to being as good as it is there. Everything was either bland or over seasoned. The service was good and the servers were friendly, but the food was just not good.

This is one of the best breakfast places in Phoenix. It has long been renowned for their downtown location, but their new locations are just as exceptional.

I love this little breakfast/brunch place. There is usually no line. The staff is friendly. And the food is quite good. It’s not super over the top fancy, but they do some really nice plates. My favorite is the smashed avocado toast. Comes with lots of micro greensand poached egg if you want. Very good. Coffee is also. If you want a brunch place that’s a little quieter than some of the other very good ones around Scottsdale, this is the place.
