The pizza here was good and it was pretty early yet to comment on how a night would turn out here. That being said the the wine I had and the service were the shining stars and not so much the pizza. Thats also why i went here. Bridal party came in for some wine flights so I assume the place got pretty fun. It was a great glass and a nice setup!

We came for the view, we came back for the food and service.We sat at the bar and enjoyed a wine flight and charcuterie. The service and view at the bar were amazing.The wines a great, especially if you like a bold, dry red.We came back the next morning for brunch and it was by far the best biscuits and gravy we’ve had, meaty and not dry or salty The portions were big enough to split.We look forward to our next visit.

They quit serving pasta. It's now just an overpriced pizza join. Don't waste your money. You can get the same quality wines anywhere.

Very nice place with friendly staff. Took a tasting flight and added a sparkling wine. I respect others that seem to really enjoy those wines but to my personal taste….didn’t like them at all. Lacks of complexity. It’s hard to get the primary aromas on the nose and I never found the secondary and tertiary ones. Acidity was too high and not balanced. No real length on the palate. But we still had a good time at Merkin and I’m happy to have tried new wines with friends.

This new menu is absolutely terrible. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old one. You took away some of my favorite dishes like the bacon wrapped dates. Maynard don't fix what isn't broken. #

BEST wine, service, and more in Old Town Scottsdale! Have enjoyed their wine up north for over a decade and finally stopped in to this location... should have a lot earlier. Shout out to Sydney for her outstanding service and vino knowledge - thank you!Vegetarian options: Vegan pickled veggies with hummus, etc. was SO good.

Very good except one thing. First, the place is very interesting. Just to get to the restaurant you can either walk a lot of stairs or pay $2.00 per person for a one minute trolly ride to the top. We didn't mind that. The pizza was good,the salad was good, and the flights of wine were fun. But the Merkin Mac and cheese was red and kinda gross looking. I guess we should have checked the ingredients before ordering. But it tasted good but macaroni should not be red. We got it for our 6 year old son and he did not want to touch it. It took some convincing from us for him to try it but eventually he did and was fine with it. So we were glad we went,we had a nice lunch, but a suggestion to management... red is not a good color for macaroni and cheese, especially since the menu has limited choices for kids. But good job with everything else!
