We will definitely return. Food was fabulous. (Oysters, Shrimp, Caesar Salad, Burger, Muscles, Scallops). Our server, Ramone, was very attentive. We liked there were white table cloths on the tables. Enjoyed the ambience of the outdoor dining.

If we could give Modern Chophouse & Oyster Bar 10 stars, we definitely would! The food is fabulous and they go out of their way to provide the best service!!! It is the old fashioned kind of service, where they remember your name and that you have been in before. They even had the high chair already at the table because I mentioned when I made the Mothers Day reservation that we were bringing our 2 yr old granddaughter with us. Everyone raved about the food. Our daughter had the fried chicken and shared a bite, it was to die for!!!

We went to an early dinner and sat on the patio. Our server was excellent. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad which was delicious (we love garlic). Our friend had the oysters Rockefeller and loved them. For dinner we had the HH tacos. One of our friends had the salmon and the other the pastrami sandwich. They said both were very good. We will be back.
1st time eating at Modern Oysterbar. The waiter was rude when I didn't like that I wasn't a fan of the crab cake (1) for $24. I had the shrimp scampi pasta- it was ok, my husband had the ribeye, he also said it was ok. For the price I would have rather gone across the street to capital grill. We won't be going back.

What a great experience we had. The food was fantastic , our server Remonde knew the menu and guided us to choose the best of what we would like. Desert was packed up for us to eat at home and was very yummy. Looking forward to going back soon.
This was our first time trying out Modern Oysterbar and it was so delicious! I had the modern mussels and it was exploding with flavor! My husband had the chicken Cesar salad and was also super delicious! We will definitely be back.
We love this place. We get the oyster sampler because we like all of them and can't pick just one. The Kansas cut is the best cut of meat. Everything so tasty and the owner who is always there is a sweetheart. Highly recommend. They also gave us a lovely desert for our anniversary that was divine.

If you have not been here yet you should go immediately! The food, attentive staff and the proprietor are all top notch. Lots of fantastic seafood (I am completely hooked on the oysters whether they are raw, grilled or fried; absolute perfection. If seafood isn't your thing they will tantalize you with their steaks, lamb and even their burger. You just cannot go wrong.

What an amazing place! We wanted to try something different for seafood than all the other Scottsdale chains. This is a family owned restaurant with absolutely wonderful food and service. We had the Rockefeller and wood fired oysters, crab cakes, sea bass and mussels. All were phenomenal! Mel was such an amazing server as well, can’t wait to come back!

First time at the restaurant. Thought the prices were a bit high and none of us were thrilled with our entrees. The caprese salad was lackluster - probably the worst I've ever had. The chopped salad was good. Steak was good. I did not feel well after eating the Shrimp Scampi. Server was excellent - friendly and attentive. So was the hostess who sat us. Sadly, won't return for another meal.

Despite the bustling atmosphere, our food arrived promptly and was beautifully presented. The complimentary bread and standout Rockefeller oysters were delightful, while the perfectly roasted brussel sprouts and heavenly key lime pie rounded off a truly exceptional meal. I highly recommend Modern Oyster Bar Chophouse for a memorable dining experience.

As always, we had a fabulous meal. Our daughters were visiting from out of town, and we always bring them to Modern when they visit as it's their favorite restaurant in Scottsdale. It's a family owned and run restaurant and the personal touches are just wonderful. Love love love Modern OBCH

Exceptionally good meal and service. We had the chopped salad, scallops and classic mussels. A nice outdoor dining area, a bar area with some dining tables and booths, and a separate main dining area. The recorded music in the dining area was turned up pretty loud when we arrived, but they immediately turned it down when we asked. A very good experience, and we highly recommend.

WHAT A FIND!!! We are embarrassed that we live close by and had not gone to Modern Oysterbar Chophouse before tonight. I had the Chilean seabass, to die for! My husband has the surf and turf. His steak was cooked perfectly and he got the lobster prepared tempura and raved about how good it was. As if that was not enough, he absolutely LOVES key lime pie and is a self proclaimed aficionado. He declared it was THE BEST key lime he has ever eaten. I am retired from making key lime pie ?. From this point forward all key lime pie comes from Modern! Our server Elyssa was amazing, the restaurant is family owned, the food is off the charts, what else can one want!?!? Oh, and I failed to mention, we were able to talk AND the music was great. A perfect dining experience.
