Great pizza (crispy and fluffy crust, quality ingredients), super fast, friendly service.
The Chicken Picatta was excellent. Great balance of lemon and butter. Plenty of capers and I enjoyed the dish immensely.
Awesome pizza joint. Classic atmosphere and super clean inside. Highly recommend the house special pizza!
Their pizza tastes so bad. Their crust for some reason, I don’t know if they clean their tabletops, tastes like wet rags. Like you can taste that on the crust. Bah. It’s always empty too!
Fantastic pizza. Owner was friendly and the service was fast. Very pleased with our experience.
Absolutely wonderful! Finally a local Italian/ pizza place we can enjoy. From take out to eating in, the service and food are top notch. Living a block away makes Mondello’s all the more desirable. So happy to have a new neighborhood restaurant!
Love this place. Hope it can survive. We were only diners as of 6 pm. They are trying to come back after adversity. Good food. Decent prices...equals good value. Highly recommend
The entire dining room smelled like sewage. They wouldn't give us the price that is on their website (still, days later.) When I ordered a pop, their worker opened the straw, put his fingers on the tip, pinched it, and then put that straw in my drink. When I pointed out what he had just done, he said, "Did I?" The eggplant parmigiana sandwich tasted terrible. Somehow they managed to mess up my ham & green-peppers pizza. My wife's cheese pizza was passable.
Great spot! The rigatoni ala vodka is AMAZING! Good happy hour too!
We keep coming back for more! This quaint little neighborhood Italian joint never disappoints- the rigatoni ala vodka is delicious (although everything we have had is delicious too!)

This place is a cute little neighborhood spot for traditional Italian grub. We were attracted to a few of their menu items so we decided to check them out. We ordered a pizza and an Italian sub. The pizza was okay. The crust was thinner and crisp through to the center - no rise in their dough and it didn't seem like it was hand tossed. The sauce was very nice and the sausage, which we were told is made in house, was very good. It wasn't bad pizza, it just didn't stack up well against the many great pizza places we've visited. The same goes for the Italian sub. The meat and cheese was unimaginatively stacked in a way that it was lost in the heavy bread (sandwich people know what I mean). We finished with one of my childhood favorites, Zeppolis, which were perfectly fluffy and came out fresh and warm. Excellent. I also tried their house made Limonchello which, having made myself, I have an appreciation for. Theirs was excellent. Served nice and cold. We had very nice and friendly service. It was pretty quiet there for a Friday dinner hour. I wanted to give them an extra half star rating. I don't know that I'd return for their pizza but I mave have to return to try their other Italian entrées.
5 stars for the Margarita pizza. We haven't tried any of the other food yet. This specific pizza is by far in the top five we have had, and we order Margarita pizza everywhere we are able, which has been in over 10 states and hundreds of cities. Crust, sauce and cheese ratio with basil is excellent on all counts.
We had a quite a few items including appetizer and dessert. If you like a lite crispy crust they make one of the best and their sauce is out of this world. My lasagna was perfect with a generous amount of cheese. The Zeppole is a tasty light dessert to finish a wonderful meal. They even have Peroni draft. The service was fantastic as well. We were advised on our selection by a friendly and very attentive server as well. I can't recommend Mondello's strongly enough for take out or a very nice dine in experience. Definitely more than just a pizzeria and very reasonably priced.
Absolutely stellar old-school italian-american food, made by hand wherever possible, and served in an adorably kitschy, family friendly space. They have great hand stretched pizza and their pastas are to die for. I highly recommend the Alla Vodka rigatoni to anyone who's got a craving for carbs!
The ambiance is delightful and the service and food was outstanding.
