OBON Sushi Bar Ramen

Our first visit here and it was mostly a great experience. Unfortunately the club like music was too loud and too annoying. we sat inside at the bar and next time will go outside at the bar, as it was way better as we walked by. The service was good, it seemed to be a 'team' of bar staff taking turns. The food was very good and a nice change from our usual sushi places. we will go back.

The reason there isn't a 5 star "Overall" review is because of the bathroom conditions. Both the women's and men's room were a mess. The men's bathroom had a missing hot water knob at the only sink in the bathroom.

It feels like the sushi quality is somewhat inconsistent. Last time, the cucumber pieces in my rainbow roll were huge and detracted from the taste and enjoyment. It felt like filler. The restaurant is lovely but seems like a strange place to take kids and toddlers, as it is a high end sushi and Ramen spot with little to offer children to eat. Not A lot of options for those who don't like spicy food. Would be really nice to have a non-spicy Ramen, noodle, and rice dish added to the menu. I tend to enjoy the food more when ordering takeout. The house/green salad is also very good but has to be asked for as it is off menu as well.

This was my first time visiting OBON while traveling to Scottsdale. The sushi 🍣 was fresh, and the customer service was warm and friendly. If it matters to the owners, your bathroom faucet 🚰 in the men's restroom is missing a valve; you might want to replace it and clean up the bathroom while you are at it.

Maki Sushi, Nigiri Sushi and Sashimi all very good. Nice beer selection as well as Sake. If you don't like raw fish there is plenty here to make you happy.

We love Oban! Last night the food was fresh, hot and delicious! Service was outstanding! Great place for great sushi and the best Raman I've found. Can't wait to go back!

Our server was one of the best we have had in a very long time. In fact she was so good all the tables were talking amongst themselves about how awesome she was. Even a small child about 8 years old told his mom to tip her a lot because she was nice. Food was excellent. Can't wait to go back.

Came here for lunch, had the Fukushu roll and Obon Ramen. Pork belly and ramen broth was amazing the sushi was so good. Customer service was awesome. Would 100% recommend.

We took our son for his 30th birthday and it was disappointing to say the least. The food was midrange, nothing exceptional, but tasty. The service was more than lacking! Our server was unfriendly and it made for an uncomfortable night, to the point we asked another server to assist. One of our guests has a nut allergy and never got an answer when she asked if peanut oil was used. I won't go again, but was probably a one off night.

I ordered carry out vegetable fried rice with extra vegetables. The first word should be the main ingredient but even with extra vegetables this very small portion of rice only had a few extra green onions. As you can see there’s a few shreds of broccoli (I counted 6), a few shreds of carrots and green onions. For the $19 price and a request to pay more for extra vegetables it’s still very underwhelming.

This restaurant has been a favorite of mine since it opened at the Quarter - they deliver great service and food consistently, including my visit last night. Big thanks to Avalina behind the bar and the rest of the team for another quality experience!
