We walked here from our Airbnb on a Saturday evening and it was pretty empty. Staff and other patrons were all friendly. Great local place for reasonably priced drinks and free pool and darts if you’re looking for a low-key place to hang out with friends.

Long standing hidden gem. You won’t be disappointed if you love strong drinks, dive bars, playing pool, and hanging with locals. Not only will I come back, it’s one of my favorites in the valley. No food, but decent beer selection and good drinks. David single-handedly handled serving everyone in the bar, and there were a lot of us. He also had no problem guiding me, a blind man, to the restroom and still keeping the bar in order. Probably going back tonight.

Had a bartender who would just ignore my mom and I every time I was trying to get his attention, decided not to tip him because he didn't do ANYTHING for us. Then he had the nerve to tell his boss I didn't tip. His boss came running out towards my mom and asked her why didn't we tip him. my mom said "he didn't serve us at all" Then the boss told us not to come back. Worse service we've ever experienced. MY MINORITY PEOPLE PLEASE DONT COME HERE!! Drinks aren't that good, waste of time here!

I've been in On The Rocks several times. My latest trip to Scottsdale was in April/May 2022.This time around I had the pleasure of talking soccer with Ashlea who, it turns out, is a Liverpool fan. I'm a Manchester United supporter and asked if we could have the match on. Of course Ashlea said yes. She finished her shift at midday and came around the bar to watch it with me.I also met Wendy, the owner, and we had a great chat about her journey from having a farm destroyed by fire to owning a dive bar in Arizona. Great people, great company and good beer.My friends joined us and it was like we had all known each other all our lives.If you want to meet good people get down to On The Rocks.On another visit in may 2022 I met bartender, Hellina who was also kind and friendly. I was in the bar early on a Saturday morning, again to watch soccer, and Hellina looked after me, and other early customers, with a friendly smile and professional approach.
