Oscar's Taco Shop

Thursday, 10/2/25 we had lunch at Oscar’s on N. Scottsdale. 10/10 recommend! Gals working the opening shift that day were on it! Kind, courteous, and smiling! Good was on point! Enjoyed tacos, salsa, beans and rice! It’ll we lived in the area, this would be a regular stop! Thanks for the great lunch!

Cashier was very nice and welcoming, the place was clean, which was great unlike other Mexican restaurants in the area, however, I was not impressed with the food. The Carne Asada burrito I had was overcooked and tough to eat. And there was hardly any guacamole in my burrito. I was disappointed and it upset my stomach so I thought I will be eating here again. Perhaps I should’ve tried something else, but who knows…

Very solid breakfast burrito. This one had hash browns, cheese and eggs only. They grilled the tortilla a bit and you got a a good bite everytime. Love the red salsa too.

We get Oscars delivered often as it’s delicious and reasonably priced. Both are important. I lived in so cal for 6 years and after moving to Phoenix I was disappointed with a lot of Mexican spots out here, Oscar’s is the closest I’ve found out here. Their breakfast burritos are amazing as well as the street tacos.

Amazing authentic Mexican food north of Phoenix!!!
A visit to Mayo clinic for brain surgery brought us to the area and we were told the best authentic Mexican food would be in the south.
We stayed at a friend's house in Scottsdale for 10 days and I was looking for good Mexican food nearby. I found Oscars and headed over after reading their menu online. Having been a connoisseur of chimichangas in the Midwest for decades, I decided to try their version.
I can honestly say this challenged for one of the top 25 meals I've eaten in my life! Maybe pushing top 10!
I will unfortunately never look at chimichangas the same! I could go on forever about their version, but I will leave it at this... you just have to try it. It was so good I went back for a breakfast burrito the next morning, which fed me for 2 mornings! I honestly hope we don't have to go back to Mayo clinic but if we do I will be making a number of stops at Oscars next time we're in town!

The Surf & Turf burrito is incredible! Don't sleep on the Rolled Tacos either. They load them up with guac, lettuce and cheese!

Tasty and affordable, feels like that hole-in-the-wall shop with abuela in the back cooking tasty food. That's not actually the case because it's an open kitchen style, and i see the cooks.. but good food is good food, and it's great for lunch as I'm not having to pull from savings to cover the cost.

We have been to Oscars a couple times this month, both to dine in and take away. The staff is always friendly and efficient with the orders. Husband loves the surf and turf fries as a treat and the veggies tacos are a favorite. Very generous with their salsas. Keeps us coming back!
