Happy this location is here since other food is far to drive to but the customer service needs an overhaul. Woman working up front took forever to take our order. Was doing other to-go orders which is understandable but never once looked up to greet us or let us know she’ll be right with us. When she was ready, she just looked at us from behind the computer and didn’t say a thing. Weird… Food was fine but the employees could do much better with how they treat the customers.
Awful experience! The cook was rude and picked his teeth with his glove on and never changed them. They told us they were out of cornstarch so their menu was very limited. I asked why someone didn't just walk across the parking lot to the grocery store and buy some. They just walked away. I would give "Justin" 5 stars due to the fact he was trying to hold this train wreck together. It's so sad to see this happen. We've been coming here for many years....
The summit location in Scottsdale is awful. Their online ordering is a joke. Takes about 90 minutes for an order because they are “experiencing a high level of orders” yet the restaurant is dead and my order is 20 minutes late. Missing items from my order and other items out of stock despite being available online. Apparently they can’t read either because I pay for something and it’s missing and when I ask for a it it’s another 20 minute wait for the missing item. I’ll never order again from here. Maybe other locations are ok.
Absolute worst Pei Wei in the Phoenix area. Clumpy rice and tiny portions. The crab puffs were not appetizing as can be seen from the photo. They tasted so bad that I ended up just throwing them away.
Placed a pick up order at 2:45 pm for 6:00 pm pick up. Not ready until 6:20 pm. Ordered one entree and 3 large appetizers. Lettuce wraps did not have any crunchies, crab rangoons were cold and under fried, one fortune cookie, one fork. Basically disappointed. Good thing I had a 15% off coupon. Otherwise, this review would have been worse.
The lack of customer service here is beyond understanding. The ownership should fire evenly single person here. I have been hung up on 4 times. And that's even without speaking to anyone. Hold for 12 minutes at a time, then instead of answering, they disconnect. They messed up our 130 dollar order. They never even gave it to the door dash driver. So he can't even pick it up. We can't cancel it because they won't answer. We could drive all the way over there but we are figuring out dinner first. I'll ream them tomorrow. Yall never really met Ken. Ohhhh. This one is gonna be a real doozy. Would make for an entertaining Karen clip of the century once I get ahold of everyone.
We love Pei Wei. They are very consistent, flavorful, good portions. We have found that they are always out of the iced tea by dinnertime, though. So we bring our own.
Sad to say, on a Saturday only 2 workers. Our main dish came out before soup or appitizer. I was done with the main dish a good 15 minutes before I went up and asked where my other food was. His reply, "I'll start that right now." I confirmed the word, start. The cook was in another area on his phone! I know it's a difficult time, but to not be motivated means you don't need the job.
This place is so close to home but it has gone down hill fast. Food is awful, restaurant is dirty and the staff is so rude. It makes me sad as I have gone to Pei Wei since they opened in the valley in 2000. The brand has slipped. Considerably.
Most awful customer service we've experienced in the area. the kids don't even bother attending the register they go back and talk in the kitchen, no hi there no thank you no nothing from them!!! How to yell in the kitchen to come up front and take our order, see pics, not a soul at the front for the time we were here.

What on Earth… was supposed to be ready at 7:30pm I showed up about 3 mins past. Ended up having to wait an extra 30 mins!Ordered kids orange chicken w/fried rice and Mongolian steak w/noodles extra sauce on side.Issue 1. Obviously the extra wait2. No extra sauce was in my bag.3. Kids orange chicken wasn't started until 7:50!! The guy bagging needed to remind the chef of it and the broccoli is still raw I ended up steaming it at home.4. The orange chicken sauce was busting all over the container and it wasn’t separated nicely with the fried rice so it is now orange rice.5. They don’t close till 9 so I didn’t understand why the gentleman bagging was putting all the chairs on the tables an hour and half early…I’ll make the extra drive to bell rd next time
Food was good, but when I got home I realized my order was incomplete. It disappointing to drive somewhere for pick up and not getting what you ordered or paid for.
Placed order online and was informed when the food would be ready to pickup. I show up on time and I am told it will be another 20 minute wait. Ends up being a 40 minute wait. All this for mediocre (at best) Asian food. The rice is too dry, the chicken is mostly breading, there are very few vegetables on the entrées, and the flavor simply isn't there. Hard pass.
The customer service was absolutely terrible, but the kitchen did very well. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Kitchen staff saved the experience.
I’ve come in several times. The food is always great and done in a timely manner. The place is always clean and well maintained. The staff looks young, but their customer service is top notch.
