Generally speaking, the food was quite good. The hummus was superb, as was the saffron rice. The beef was very good, the chicken was dry, and the ersatz hamburger was just “okay”. Service was really great and the atmosphere was exceptional. HOWEVER, there was a problem which is a bit concerning. Two couples and we split the bill, handing over two credit cards. Mine came back with a total balance of $87.21. Very reasonable for the large portions and the quality of the dining experience. The suggested tips were:10%—$31.4020%—$34,6922%—$38.37As you can see, the monetary “suggested tips” were twice the indicated percentage. I noticed this and adjusted accordingly. However, I wonder how many people notice this and, after a few drinks, don’t make the adjustment. Likely, quite a few. So, this does not seem cricket to me. If a total balance is indicated on a credit card receipt, the tip should be calculated on that amount, not on the amount of the total bill which is split between two (or more) couples. Seems a bit deceptive to me, but perhaps I am too suspicious. No explanation on the credit card receipt, just:“For your convenienceSUGGESTED GRATUTIES”I suggest management look at this and correct the monetary amounts suggested for the percentage tips to accurately reflect: 10%, 20% and 22%, when bill are split between two (or more) couples. (The same was reflected on the other couple’s credit card receipt.)Other than this concern, the food, service and ambiance were great; and we, likely, will go back, while alerting others to what we experienced.

I ordered a Chicken Barg Sultani, which comes with rice, grilled tomato and bread. I told the waiter I don't want the tomato and bread, give me a grilled onion instead. He said it is $4 for the onion. I said I am substituting the onion for the bread and the tomato. He said onions cost more. Not true. Tomatoes are $1.90/lb and onions $1.17/lb in Scottsdale. I refused and had the tomato. I spoke with the manager, James, he told me next time to ask for him and he will waive the charge for the onion. I told him it shouldn't be there in the first place. And to add insult to injury, there is also a credit card surcharge.I don't like being scammed and nickel and dimed. Not going back there.

Four of us went to dinner and got sat and ordered drinks and an app and ordered our entrees at the same time just because we looked before we got there and knew what we wanted and about 10mins went by and we watched the table next to us get seated in our servers section and watched her take their drink order and come back with their drinks and then proceeded to take their entree order, all still not getting our drinks or apps. After a few mins, another employee brought out our entrees, still not receiving our drinks or app. We let this person know and about15mins later they brought our app and drinks but at this point we were half way done with our entrees and just didn't want the app any more so we told her we didn't want it. Never once did anyone apologize about these mistakes, and on top of that, they still tried to charge us for the appetizer. This place is over priced anyways. Bad service and o.k. food that should be half the price.

Our first time visiting after hearing so much about it. It lived up to the great reviews!The food was EXCELLENT! Our wait staff was on point and a couple of good cocktails made for a great evening.We ordered #34 ( enough for 2 people) and hummus. The steak and chicken naderi flavor was outstanding and the Koobideh was very tastyWe will be back for sure!

It took a very long time to get our food but the staff were very nice. As a Persian person I should say the food was not as good as I expected.
We had a reservation and were helped as soon as we got in on a FRIDAY evening. The food was amazing however the service was a little late for refills and there was a lot of noise! Maybe that's how Fridays are but we mainly went to eat a good food which we did but me personally I rather a nice calm music without people being too loud around me. So going back again but not on a FRIDAY! Cheese will also be nice with Reyhoon and bread instead of all that butter!

Visiting Scottsdale area and glad we came across this place. It’s authentic and delicious.We tried: hummus, yogurt & garlic dip, and Lamb, Chicken & Beef Filet combo for 2 (pictured, #51) and baklava. It was more than enough.The side of fresh basil and onion was a pleasant add on. Highly recommend.
