Roka Akor is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. The ambiance sets the tone for an incredible dining experience, and the service is truly exceptional. We did the omakase menu, which was amazing from start to finish — beautifully curated and perfectly paced. Our server was incredibly gracious and attentive, and did an excellent job walking us through each course and elevating the entire experience. Service standards here are truly top-notch. Highly recommend!
Food was superb and vibe is terrific For some reason, the restaurant was really cold inside. Service was on the slow side but just gave the 4 of us more time to catch up
First time here. The Wagyu potstickers, Crispy Rice Tuna, and truffle fries were all amazing. The Yuzu lemonade was incredible — I'd come back just for that. Now the service... The host was great, genuinely a 10/10. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the lighting sets the vibe. But it felt like musical plates all night. We were given dishes that weren't ours multiple times (about four). My steak came out cold, which was really disappointing. Overall, the experience was just okay. The food had some real highlights, but the service needs some tightening up.
Everything was so delicious! We ended up just eating a bunch of apps as a meal but it was perfect.
Service was exceptional. The happy hour menu is extensive and great prices. We had some happy hour appetizers, American Wagyu, and some sides. Food was very good!
The space has an airy, open feel. Very posh looking except the dinner tables, which are square with 4 semi-circle fold-outs. Not sure these tables really matched the restaurant's sophisticated decor. Lighting was fun and sexy, as is the ambiance. (4/5) Food is a mix bag. We ordered shishito peppers and tuna tartare on fire crackers as apps for the table. The tuna tartare was delish and on-point, crunchy and tasty. The peppers was a let down; properly cooked, but then swimming in a soy or black sauce that made it way too salty. (2/5) For entrees, we ordered a few steak dishes, including wagyu fillet, wagyu sirloin, and wagyu ribeye. Overall, everyone enjoyed their steak (there were some temperature issue, but not enough to send back), though the 14oz ribeye came out rather small (maybe excessive shrinkage from cooking). Nonethless, steak were very well received. We also ordered a grilled octopus that was good. (4/5). Dessert was average. The valhrona chocolate cake was fine, but nothing to write home about. The green tea tart was a fail, with the raspberry completely drowning out the tart (0 green tea flavor). (3/5) Service was weak at the price point. We were asked about drink orders almost immediately after we sat down, then 3 more times within 10 minutes. And once food and drinks were ordered or delivered, service was thin, where we had to make a real effort to flag someone down for water and stuff. Given the restaurant was not even remotely busy (20% full?), not a good service experience. (2/5). Didn't feel the meal was that special at $150/ppl for a not-huge meal.
This was my family's second time dining at Roku. We came for my son's birthday in Sept. and last night, 11/09, for my daughter's birthday. The service was excellent. We were seated immediately and served water. Our drink orders followed shortly. Our appetizers were ordered and served in a timely manner. Everyone enjoyed the sharing aspect of the dining experience. The main entrees were also excellent. Everyone ordered a different cut of steak and the cook on each was perfect. Since it was a special occasion, we ordered dessert to share and that too, was delicious. We will definitely be back!
Food was good and service great Bluefin 3 ways as nigiri was a highlight Open fire restaurant and left my clothes smelling like I'd been at a bonfire - interesting eclectic menu and fab service
Value got marked down only because it's is a pricey restaurant. That said, best meal I've had in my life. And I've eaten all over the world, at many very high end restaurants , and this place is special.
First time at Roka Akor. Nice ambiance and a good variety of choices. We shared several hot and cold small plates and some nigiri. All was very good

As we come here for ten years, it seems that something changed. Management is not tight and it shows. After ordering the black cod, which usually takes 20 minutes to cook - we got it after 5 minutes. Hmmmm... it was pre-made and sat out. So when we pointed it out, we asked for it to be made now, and not pre-made. With an honest waiter, we learned that the chef almost just put it back on the grill to reheat it... Sorry this is not what we are paying for.
The Brussels sprouts were burned and my dinner Salmon came after everyone was done eating. The waitress brought another salmon so I took it home and it was Awful!!! I was so disappointed cuz We brought our friends from Sedona. Your music was very loud and we asked the waitress to turn it down. We couldn't even have a conversation. Please bring back your corn tempura!!!
Food is always good and our server, Casey, provided excellent service and right-on recommendations.
Some food like the toro w foie gras, pork belly, cod, ube desert were exceptional. The scallop w wasabbi, the mushroom hotpot and ribeye being very underwhelming, they were under seasoned and the steak was unevenly cooked leaving some fat you couldn't bite through. I'd expect better for a 400 dollar plus tip meal. Oh and the drinks were decent. Service very good.
We had an exceptional dining experience filled with Hamachi Crudo, dumplings, sushi roll, steak and more. Great menu selection and fun for a group dinner. We can't wait to return to try more!
