Described problems with food, greeting, table location and more with manager, Mitch. He was no help and made me very upset for my husband's special night
We usually love going to Ruth's Chris, but this experience was different. We booked a reservation for outdoor seating as that one was of the options on OT and said we were celebrating a birthday. When we got there they sat us in the back without letting us know about the change and when we said something they said outdoor seating is only for walk ins (then that shouldn't be an option to book in the reservation) and then the table wasn't decorated how they usually do with the little birthday decorations on the table, but other tables were. Then it took a while for anyone to serve us and our drinks took extremely long that even the waitress kept apologizing and then our food was not cooked to our requests so I ended up eating when the rest of our party was done. It was a disappointing experience since it was the first time we took the rest of our party with us.
⸻ Disappointing Experience – Ruth's Chris Needs to Evolve I used to think of Ruth's Chris as a special-occasion favorite, but my recent visit was a big letdown. The restaurant feels dated and hasn't evolved with the times — from the décor to the menu, everything seems stuck in the past. I ordered a filet medium rare, and it had to be sent back three times because it was practically raw each time. For a steakhouse of this caliber, that's unacceptable. Unfortunately, it left a bad taste — literally and figuratively. The one bright spot of the evening was our server, Geron, who was attentive, professional, and did everything he could to make things right. Sadly, I wouldn't go back. Ruth's Chris really needs to step up and modernize if they want to keep up with today's dining standards.
Janey was our server and she has the best personality and made our evening very special! Food was fantastic! Atmoosphere was quiet and very classy!
The sewer back up smell in the lobby was really horrible. Hard to eat your meal without continuing to smell it. No mention of it was pretty surprising. Some people were holding their noses in the bar area.
As always, this was a delightful experience. We had steaks and chicken and a lot of sides and everything was perfect.
I had the BEAT time at the Caymus dinner. The staff was amazing, the food and pairings were phenomenal, and the ambiance was just right. Looking forward to the next experience, thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
Our server Rob, was wonderful! We were celebrating a special occasion and he took excellent care of us. We will definitely be going back and asking for Rob as our server.
Leo has a great personality and his service was spot on!! Our meal was paced perfectly and our food was exceptional!! Compliments to the chef for preparing our steaks as requested!! 💯👍🏻

We celebrated our Anniversary and the staff made it extra special by putting rose petals on our table along with a card. The steaks were excellent, the NY strip my favorite done medium. I rarely eat beef however when I do, I'll definitely come back to Ruth's Chris. The food, service and location...all great.

Food and service lived up to the expectations of dining at Ruth’s Chris. Unfortunately other diners with their audible phone alerts and shoddy dress diminished the experience.

I booked a reservation for my wifes birthday hoping for a special evening. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had.
We were seated in a nice area and placed our order right away, but then we waited over an hour for our food. When we asked our server about the delay, she said they were “waiting for the steak to cook.” I’ve dined all over the world, and I’ve never had to wait that long for a steak. To make matters worse, a table seated after us received their food before we did.
When our meals finally arrived, the plates were scorching hot, but the food itself was lukewarm. The staff offered to remake it, but after already waiting an hour, I didn’t want to spend any more time there—i was tring to get wife back to hotel. I took the food back to the Westin, tried reheating it, and it turned out to be the worst meal I’ve ever had from this restaurant.
What should have been a memorable birthday celebration ended in embarrassment and disappointment.
