We ordered the house Margarita. Nothing extra or special- just the house Margarita. The sign at the front said they were $12 all day. Our server charged us $16 each. We notified the manager after we paid because we hadn't realized it. He said he'd credit $8 back for the 2 drinks. I hope we see the refund. Our friends also were charged the same and didn't say anything but weren't happy they were overcharged. This is not something you would want to lose customers over so please have servers charge correct amounts. Our fault as well for not noticing the incorrect charge. Otherwise, food was good.

We had reservations and when we arrived we were taken to the very back room (passed numerous open tables in the main part of the restaurant) where we were initially the only people there. Seemed the space was being used as a place where staff could eat the pizzas they had ordered from a local pizzeria, not quite the ambiance I was hoping for. Service was subpar, perhaps because it was difficult to see our table, easy to forget we were back there. Though they advertised specials, the Cinco de Mayo menu was made up of selected items from the regular menu which were offered at the same price, nothing special about that. Definitely would never spend another Cinco de Mayo at SOL.

Update: Came here for taco Tuesday and they got some great deals. Started south the guac. We got carne asada tacos and I got the firecracker quesadilla and the animal taco. Both delicious.Old review : Was on my list for a while. Started with a blackberry & ginger virgin drink. It was good.Also got the sweet corn. It was good but don’t think I will pay $10 for it.The complimentary chips and salsa was good.I got the carne asada tacos with rice and beans. So many tacos for me. 3 come. The steak was juicy. The beans I could live without. The rice was good.My sister got the quesdilla. It was huge! Definitely 2 people can share it. It was really good too

My reservation for an outdoor patio table at 9 wasn't honored, which was disappointing. However, opting to sit at the bar turned out to be a great decision. Jared, the bartender, crafted a delicious drink for me as well as had great recommendations which set the perfect tone for the evening. While the goat cheese was underwhelming, the sweet corn was fresh and flavorful with a beautiful char. The Viper taco added a nice heated kick to my evening, and the sweet potato and black bean tacos were both delicious and satisfying. Despite the seating hiccup, Jared truly made the night memorable.

Waiter never asked if everything was to our liking. I do believe some retraining should occur with the staff. I say staff because he didn’t give his name so it’s hard to say he should receive it individually. This is our first time in AZ and the first restaurant we stopped at. For us to start off like that is unacceptable. He proceeded to take our drinks (non-alcoholic) off the bill for us as if he was doing me a favor. I didn’t like that because the issue was never addressed.

Decent food but arguably some of the worst service/hospitality I’ve ever received at a restaurant. Poor server seemed very junior and was left alone to serve a 15-person group. Had to ask 4 separate times to get our first drink. Significant allergies (anaphylactic for two of our party members) which were originally not respected and food had to be sent back. Approximately 2/3 of our orders were incorrect or forgotten. When manager was alerted to this, they offered a small discount, but quite disappointing that no further help was offered to the junior server who was clearly struggling and upset. Also confusing that more staff were not available to help as our reservation was quite late when the restaurant was quite empty with a fair amount of staff still working. Would not recommend for a large group.

SOL is my favorite upscale Mexican restaurant. We went for my mother's birthday last weekend and it did not disappoint. Our server was fantastic and the food was good as always.

Entrées and appetizer delicious, attractively plated, and satisfying. Music somewhat loud but turned down when we requested it. Highly recommend.

We love Sol ❤️ The food and vibe was amazing as always. It would have been a 5 if the service was better, including the hostess. We reserved a patio table, and when we arrived,the hostess acknowledged our request and said none were available. However, while being seated we noticed 3 tables on the patio avail. So we were easily seated outside. This was not our usual experience at Sol. There are 3 brothers who work there (just not on Sundays). They are over the top great!

Please keep your credit card receipts!!! My sister and I went to Sol on 4/14/24 and split our check 50/50. I always keep my credit card receipts until the entire transaction, including the tip, clears my account. The person who closed my ticket out added additional $$$$$ to their tip. They did the same thing to my sister! The only reason I was able to spot the THEFT easily was because the tip I leave + check always = a total with no change. The employee that changed my tip amount was too ignorant to pay attention to that, so when the total charge finally cleared my bank for a total of $91.78, I knew immediately it was incorrect because I always round to the nearest dollar. I called, and they said a manager would call me back, and of course, they never did. I finally called them MULTIPLE times on 4/22 and emailed their corporate office. I spoke to Taylor, and she agreed to refund the $91.78. My sister has not been that lucky.
