Squarz Bakery & Cafe

I was very excited to bring my family here today and had been talking up for several
days how great the food was. Unfortunately we had a bad enough experience I will never get my family to return. Half my party ordered immediately after I did but their food came long after we were completely done eating. When it did come, theirs was all in cardboard to-go containers instead of on plates although we were sitting in a booth. They were told “we’re too busy to plate your food” although there were very few people in the cafe. They were also given plastic utensils, so my DIL went up to the counter and nicely asked for a metal knife and fork so she could cut the food up more easily for her 3 year old. She was told: “no! This is a coffee shop not a restaurant!” This in spite of the fact that all other customers including those of us at the table were eating on plates, using metal utensils.
I calmly spoke to manager/employee Tiana at the end of our meal to ask her if she could explain why we had this negative experience. I really did not want to give up on this place and was hoping she could apologize. They were short staffed, however she made it clear to me that their Door Dash customers were of much greater importance/priority than those of us who actually got in our cars to patronize the business in person. She made it clear she resented talking to me and did not make me feel any better about the rudeness we encountered, and she actually made the situation worse. I won’t patronize a business who treats my family and me with such rudeness.

Like a previous poster mentioned, they've changed the name to Buttered Up Bakery. Friendly people working there, had a nice oat latte, and the vegan raspberry croissant is sooooo good.

I love that this place is within walking distance of my condo. I went recently and I had a vegan raspberry croissant - it was excellent!

First timer but I will definitely be going back. I received the most amazing customer service from Amey. She was so nice. I had the mocha frappe and mini chicken pot pie it was delicious.

Katlyn and Heather gave us the best experience today as well as a delicious breakfast. The bacon and egg croissant sandwich, puff pies, almond croissant and raspberry croissant were all so delicious and the hot food came out steaming! The drinks (especially the cinnamon roll chai latte) are so good! My friend and I can’t wait to make Squarz our regular spot!
