The renovations impacted the stay significantly — from closed shops to lack of in room dining. This was not worth $300+/night. Also, Spa Avania was very disappointing — no spa tour, dirty pool water (floating used plastic, sunscreen, bugs) and massages that were shorter than the time paid.

Nice hotel with staff that was very helpful (staff almost seemed to outnumber the guests as the hotel felt very empty). The reason it was empty (which I did not know at the time of booking) was that the hotel was under construction (and all pools were closed). I booked through a vendor and not through Hyatt directly, but should have been told before showing up. The other reason for the low rating is that the restaurant offering was extremely limited given the paucity of guests as a result of the construction.

I have been going here for over 20 years as this place caught my eye as a young businessman. The property has been ridden pretty hard and is showing signs of that. The employees are always accommodating and very friendly. I think I paid 200/night and that was probably a high price by a bit just by how worn out the facility is. 10 years ago that would have been a steal. I’m booking the Phoenician next time until they get some remodels done

I live in Scottsdale and got a room for a day use of fun at the pool, garden, and lake. Upon arrival, all these are out of service due to construction. The front desk just apologize and said they will finish construction by January 2024. I didn't use the room that is paid and left. I don't understand why they charge resort fee if there no any resort's services available?

everything on the cheap in the hotel more like an average motel had to ask for a shower cap, robe and even a glass! housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful did not go into the spa would not recommend or stay there again

We stayed two nights and found Hyatt Regency still retained its elegance despite missing pool and works . It was very quite , eerily in fact but they still kept the grounds impeccable. We had breakfast and it was excellent, I questioned server if fresh orange juice was ‘fresh orange juice’ he replied for the most part they grow their own ingredients at their own farm and orange juice was squeezed at their farm. Even with the work’s continuing I would recommend this elegant hotel if swimming pool is not critical to your stay. They have lowered their rates too to reflect missing service , Resort fee can be questioned.

a run down badly staffed hotel terrible food and very poor service with no manager accepting responsibility no pool available very unhelpful reception room was clean with noisy air-conditioning for the Hyatt chain this was the worst hotel we stayed at on our 4 week trip in the west of the usa

The resort is undergoing renovations until late 2024, During our stay only one restaurant was open coffee shop was closed, pool area was closed and did not have a resort feel during our stay but still has a resort fee. I would recommend staying someone else until renovations are complete unless you are just looking for a room. The rooms was clean and nice and the staff was friendly.

We did a stay cation to celebrate our anniversary. Accommodations are beautiful, we loved the live music at night and we lived at the gorgeous pools all weekend. Definitely recommend though they are renovation pools so they are now closed, make sure you check on that completion before you book if that is important to you.

Anniversary vacation cut short, because no one from the hotel or booking company told us about the reservations (pool, restaurant, etc) all closed. We ended up going to another resort with the Hilton, to finish up our anniversary.

No secret I love Hyatts but this was an unexpected smile! Close to home and our first try at a staycation. Excellent people and facility with a great location. The location is secluded but in the center of Scottsdale. Lots to do and wonderful views of the area and mountains.

Water features drained and not working. Pool needs work, showing it's age. Live entertainment was nice. Breakfast was great the first morning, the second morning my wife had to send her dish back and they did not charge for it. Overall, a nice weekend stay.

This wonderful hotel resort is filled with activities and the beauty of the desert landscape. We can't wait to return. The pools are exceptionally fun and beautiful. The kids loved the slide and beach part.

Very nice facility. Excellent service from the staff. Courteous and friendly. Food was ok in the public dining areas.. Facility quite clean and well-equipped. Good conference facilities. Would stay there again and try out the golf course and other leisure facilities.

The resort was wonderful. Very relaxing and visually stunning. Overheard a renovation is scheduled for summer - 2023 and resort will be a Grand Hyatt. Pool areas are a little dated. Restaurants share the same dining area which is a little confusing.
