The waffles were to die for. Put a reservation. If not you'll have to wait to be seated. The music was a little bit loud. The food was amazing ??

Unfortunately a letdown. After months of hearing about the place and lots of IG posts I finally made it in for a try. The shrimp and grits were tasteless. I'm not sure what kind of gravy was on top but it definitely was not the typical Trinity infused flavorful with a bit of a bite sauce or gravy I was accustomed to. The chicken and French toast, dry with overly seasoned chicken tenders. Biscuit was decent and the cocktails pretty good but not for $16/ea. Service was great. Very friendly staff all around; not just our server. I'm hoping maybe this was an off day for the food due to it being in the middle of the week, but I unfortunately won't be giving it another try.

Be prepared for very LOUD DJ music. If you're looking for low key or want to chat with friends I recommend you skip this spot. If you're having a high energy afternoon this is your spot. I personally miss the original Sugar Jam, I also felt the food wasn't quite the same.

Food was great. Service was great. Music is still to loud for that small space. But I enjoyed the food.

If I could give zero stars I would. Made a reservation for 2pm on sunday March 31st. They stress getting to the restaurant on time so that you may be seated asap. Got to the restaurant at 2pm and did not get seated until 2:40pm. They let people who walked in sit before us. Apparently the kitchen closes at 2:30pm, so while standing and waiting for our table, we had to place our order, and drinks were brought to us before we were even sat which was ridiculous. Finally get a table, no silverware, no water, food brought over, and some of the dishes were cold. Food was overhyped. Truly terrible experience. I would not recommend nor would I come back. Our server was very kind and tried to make up for the negative experience; however, having to wait 40mins for a table, being rushed to order, shoved in a corner was unacceptable. Unfortunately, she couldn’t change how bad the experience was. We had such high hopes as this place was heavily recommended, and I planned my birthday brunch here. I hope no one else experiences what we experienced.

The food was so good! I ordered the Belgian waffle with fried chicken. Here are my pros and cons: Pro: - chicken was seasoned well - waffle was fluffy and not too hard ( if you like crispy waffles I would ask them for that) - syrup was good cons: - if you don't have a sweet tooth the syrup might be powerful to you - Really none I HIGHLY RECOMMEND making a reservation so you don't have to wait in a line to sit and eat. Also, brunch starts getting poppin around 10:30 am and it's so cute and laid back inside you don't have to dress up but some people did. My party did not dress up!

Salmon Croquets were good, very meaty. Otherwise okay restaurant, food was okay mostly except for the potatoes having no life, grits were bland, and they tried to sell me photos of us. The place could use a good clean.

I will stress making reservations. That way you can get in to taste this truly southern kitchen for yourself. We had to wait, due to spur of the moment breakfast plans. However, the music was just what I needed, and I like to people watch. Once you are seated the service is jumping. Food is delivered quickly in just right portions. Bela was very helpful and had a smile for every request. Of course there is a take away for baked goods and souvenirs. I wish I lived closer.?
