Fantastic meal and excellent recommendations by our waiter, Taylor. We especially enjoyed the short rib tacos and Dan Dan noodles.

The $45 AYCE brunch is such a good deal! The small plates are perfect and varied and so delicious. The drinks were fantastic and the vibes and aesthetic were all on point! I definitely recommend and will be back again!

Food was so amazing. We had the pancake tacos, bourbon plantains, papas bravas, assortment sushi, guacamole , churros, mango yogurt, arroz con leche. That was between 4, the entrees we're almost overkill. Server Dahee was terrific. Love the brunch here.

My first time visiting SumoMaya for my 30th Birthday was a great experience! The service is wonderful. The food is delicious. The drinks are exquisite. However, the high top tables are very small for the amount of shared food ordered. Constantly rearranging plates and glasses to accommodate for the next item. The lighting is very dim, with some tables sitting in the dark. The music is extremely loud for a restaurant. It's hard to hear the person next to you. The DJ was great, just wish they would turn it down a notch. Overall, SumoMaya Mexican-Asian Kitchen is a great place for a celebration!

Nice server.Very attentive.Fun place.Could only get a 5:30 reservation. DJ.showed up around 6.We were already eating, but I could tell this place might be fun in a couple hours.Food was good overall.Nice environment.Only drawback is my experience is they want to "turn tables".I've decided I will take my time on what I order and when I order. So just take your time and enjoy. Our bill hit $400 for 3 people so it's not cheap.

Well....this was the worst service I have received from SumoMaya. Place was not busy, took 33 mins to receive our drinks, server said “it was his fault, the drinks we're just sitting there” we normally receive 3 or 4 little appetizers on a plate yesterday we only received 2 per plate. It also took a while to receive other appetizer requests. Main entrées arrived before the 3rd round of small bite plates. Also, main entrée portion sizes have become extremely smaller. We use to have brunch there at least once a month if not more and it's definitely time to find a new brunch spot.

Service was very poor, drinks came way later than our food. Also our plates was poory cleared .... Very disappointed

We visited here on a girls trip for the first time 2 years ago and were looking forward to coming back again. The ambience was great. All the food was delicious except the Tres Leches. Cocktails were balanced and the tequila selection was solid. Our service was very slow, she was not attentive whatsoever and we felt as if she had forgotten about our table. We almost got up to ask the hosts or a bartender to help get our servers' attention. The manager on duty seemed to be completely oblivious, as he paced around the floor while on his phone.

DO NOT GO HERE
this may be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Not only were we placed out in the patio with minimal heating on at 40° night and told there’s “nothing they can do about it”, our server rarely checked on us, had us waiting for 45 minutes to get our check while we were freezing, when we finally got our check it had items we never received, took another 20mins to fix, and to top it all off, at the end of our dining experience we were LOCKED OUTSIDE ON THE PATIO. This is a laughable establishment

Sumo Maya is an absolute gem! I went last weekend with my husband for his first visit, and he loved it so much he’s already booked a table for us again this coming weekend.

We tried the crudos, Chilean sea bass, spicy dumpling soup, Dan Dan noodles, and pork belly rice, and every dish was packed with bold, unique flavors. The spicy peach cocktails were the perfect complement to the meal—so refreshing and flavorful.

A special shoutout to Angel, who made the experience even better by recommending so many amazing dishes. Her suggestions truly elevated our dinner.

If you’re looking for outstanding food, creative cocktails, and top-notch service, Sumo Maya is the place to go. Can’t wait to return!

I was browsing SumoMaya’s menu and found it contains an item whose import or production is banned for ethical reasons in Australia, Austria, Argentina, Brazil, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Turkey, and the UK. Its production is banned just 150 miles west in California. It requires torture to produce and doesn’t need to be on SumoMaya’s menu. I will not return here until it is gone.
