We usually order a variety of appetizers and share amongst ourselves to experience a variety of flavors and textures. Then order one entree to share as well. We were NOT disappointed! Each item was prepared to perfection and our server, Tessa, timed the delivery so that the items did not all come out at once! The staff was very attentive without being overbearing and made sure empty plates were removed, water glasses were full and extra tostada chips were delivered for our ceviche....
We tried lots of different dishes and all were delicious. Service slowed down near the end as the waitress was working too many tables and one of our desserts never showed up, but we got it to go. Overall a nice evening.
We've been to Sumo Maya a few times now, and it keeps getting better. The last couple of visits we went straight for the sushi — absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The drinks are spot-on, the ceviche is fantastic, and the whole vibe just works. Great ambience, great service at the bar, and an all-around great experience. Can't wait to go back.
