Service was excellent, however prices were inflated, even for a high end restaurant. $28.00 of a martini is over the top. A cup of black coffee was $;7.00.Food was only ok. Husband ordered a steak ($75) Charred medium rare and it was not at all charred. I had Paella, which had one jumbo prawn, a tiny bite of lobster meat on a piece of shell and mostly clams with a couple of mussels. Lots of rice! We frequent Steak 44, so no strangers to high end dining, but Talavera was not in the same league.

when making reservation for two(I called the restaurant), I requested and was told we would have outdoor patio seating. On arrival, hostess told us patio not available due to a private party. I inquired whether the private party booked day of or prior. The answer was prior. Restaurant gave us two glasses of sparkling wine as apology for reservation mix up. My wife does not drink alcohol. There was human hair in my salad. Pointed out to the waitress(Catherine) who took away the salad. Manager offered free appetizer on next visit to restaurant. I explained the problems were tonight and not (hopefully) on next visit. manager took off our appetizer and one drink from tab.

We were highly disappointed in our Cosmic tea experience. From the moment we stepped on the property, the valet was presumptuous and should have been an indicator for the rest of our experience. We waited for at least 10 minutes after being seated for anyone to address our table. There were flies buzzing around our table the entire time. This was very annoying and disgusting when we were eating. When asked about one of the savory choices we were told there were two weddings on property so they might not have had time to make everything. Scones were pretty hard and dry. We had to ask for refills numerous times as the service was very inattentive and incredibly slow. One tea pot was missing the filter so little details were missed, as well. Overall pretty disappointed and would not recommend if asked.

We've visited Talavera several times, but this time, our experience was slightly disappointing. The food was good, but the temperature was a bit chilly. When I received the bill, I noticed that the bottle of wine was double the price listed on the menu. It was corrected, but it wasn't the right amount.

From start to finish, everything was outstanding. The food was exquisite, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. We enjoyed the Paella Experience with Javier, who was truly exceptional, knowledgeable, engaging, and an absolute star. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable experience.

It was a Sunday night and there were few patrons there, so the noise level was very low. The service was great, the food was great, the drinks were great, all as usual. We would have sat outside, but I forgot my jacket. Beautiful views. A bit on the expensive side.

We loved our meal... and the accomodations they made for us. Catherine was perfect and the outside table was divine. We'll be back in a week or two!

Talavera is a nice restaurant. My wife and I have eaten there before and enjoyed it. But today was a bit disappointing. When I made the reservation I was asked if it was a special occasion, which I replied, “Yes, it's our 45th wedding anniversary”. So, obviously, since asked that I naturally thought at least a special acknowledgement would be waiting on our arrival. Sadly, only a Happy Anniversary was stated by the server and that was it for the evening. Quite disappointing. Also, we arrived at 5pm, placed our order at 5:10 and then sat for 40 minutes waiting for word on our order. The waitress did finally come by to tell us it would be another 4 to 5 minutes. 10 minutes later we asked the waitress to check again. A few minutes later our food finally came. I will say the food was excellent, but other than that, the experience was lacking for an anniversary. We probably will not be coming back.
After posting this on their website I was contacted by their GM. She apologized and offered to handle a future visit personally. As nice as this might sound, it actually didn't address our disappointment with this special anniversary dinner. There's no real incentive given for a return visit except that the GM offered to handle our reservation personally. I don't see any advantage to that or incentive. I guess I was expecting something offered that would make up for our disappointment. Not financially, but a promise of a night to remember for going beyond expectations. I guess our 45th wedding anniversary dinner will always remain a bitter remembrance.

In comparison to other afternoon tea services in the valley, this one is sub par. The view is beautiful, however the table presentation was lacking. It felt very casual, and a little cramped with just 2 people. No tablecloths or porcelain. It all felt like an afterthought. Unfortunately the sandwiches were dry as well. Overall the value isnt there for me, even after the assumed cost of the tea itself you're still paying over $5 PER horderve. PLUS the auto gratuity. Would not recommend.

We celebrated our 50th anniversary with our family. The staff went out of their way to make our evening special, from the great table on the patio to all the extra touches. The food was delicious and service top notch. It really was a perfect experience. Thanks everybody!

I had the elk special, it was fantastic. Be sure to make a reservation, they turned away a lot of walk ins.

Fantastic food with a fun variety of dishes not often found in the area. Both the flavor and the presentation were fantastic. We felt they were priced appropriately.

The steaks were higher priced than at other high end steakhouses so they will have to be above and beyond to gain our approval. We didn't order one as we were still skeptical about the quality thanks to previous experiences (see below).

The service was great - professional, helpful, responsive, and fun! The chef even came out to say hello!

We walked away from Talavera a couple years as it was very expensive, overpriced like Mastro's, and every dish was a huge fail. We heard they got a new chef last year and we thought we would give Talavera one more try to see if things improved. Thankfully they did in a huge way.

We will definitely be back!

The ribeye was cooked evenly and paired with sides that felt fresh and thoughtful, though the starter ceviche leaned a bit too tangy. The desert views from the terrace added a striking backdrop, and service kept a calm, steady pace.

Talavera led by chef Emmanuel was delicious! The care and passion they put into their food is obvious from the first bite.

The croquetas de jamon were my personal favorite, but everything is truly amazing, you can’t go wrong here!
