I have been to the Herb Box many times both at this location on Shea and previously in DC Ranch and the food has always been exceptionally good. We tried brunch and we were most disappointed. It took 30 minutes to get our food and nothing was hot. We scheduled our time there at the latter part of brunch, but this is no excuse for food that was most disappointing. This experience will not deter me from returning for lunch, but brunch will have to be elsewhere for all five of us.

We sat out on the patio and it was perfect with friends hadn't seen for a while. Business was very slow, so svc Was faster than usual and attentive excellent server. Food was delicious and very fresh tasting for some reason .

My only thing was the cake! It was $12 for a slice and a big chunk of it was missing, bummed me out. The cake was delicious though.

The Herb Box is such a gem in Scottsdale, I always feel great after dining here! The food is fresh, flavorful, and so nicely presented, with standout vegan and vegetarian options. The service is friendly and easygoing, and the mix of stylish indoor seating and a lush patio makes it perfect for any occasion. A repeat favorite!

Unfortunately, this restaurant is not what it used to be. It is pretty inside and the food is good but overall, the value is just not there. We used to love this restaurant when it was in DC ranch, but nothing really stands out as being excellent anymore. To top it off, the bathrooms were dirty. The floor was very sticky in the women's restroom and my husband said it was the same way in the men's. We wonder what the kitchen looks like if customer-facing areas are gross. It was nice that it wasn't crowded on a Saturday mid-morning but not worth it.
