The food here is always good. I love the sweet potato bowl with black beans and quinoa. My two friends had the Cobb salad but with seafood and loved it. There teas are exceptional and the birthday chocolate lollipop was to die for. Our service girl was very helpful. we had to make some changes to our table and she helped us without missing a step. She did a great job.
Our server, Diana, was so kind and wonderful! And the food was so delicious with such interesting flavor combinations. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Good but lots of seasoning and spices. Be sure to ask as wait staff very helpful to choose what you fee comfortable with.
Good fixings

Amazing food and love the vibes of this place. Always my fav brunch spot! I'm a regular and have to say every experience has been great!
Chose this restaurant after looking at the menu on line. They have some very different interesting options. I ordered a baby kale, brie, green apple omelette. Once we finally received our order the food was very tasty. The atmosphere is very pleasing for a breakfast brunch lunch type of place. The downside of this place is the terrible service. It took at least one half hour to receive our food after our order was placed. While we waited the manager cleaned off the table next to us wiping food, not crumbs, food all over the floor. Besides being unpleasant to look at, everyone had to walk through it to get out the door. After waiting quite a while I had to get up and approach our waitress asking for our bill and a to go box. She never once checked on us to see how things were going. Very torn about returning. Is outstanding food and pleasant atmosphere worth the irritation of the long wait?
Delicious vegan options! I was super impressed with the Brussel Sprout Chips with Lemon yellow pepper aioli!

The patio is very relaxing. We enjoyed breakfast tacos and chilaquiles verde bowl with morning cocktails. Service was fantastic and the vibe is warming and positive! We will be back! Cheers to Aubrey our server!

Our experience was great! I've already told a bunch of friends about it. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful.

Overall this was a great experience. My only complaint is that they do not have a diaper changing station in either of their bathrooms.

The staff is friendly & professional. The food was great ! The Gluten Free Sprinkles cake is to die for.
So good in fact, I almost did not want to write because I want to save the cake all to myself !

I have been to the Herb Box many times both at this location on Shea and previously in DC Ranch and the food has always been exceptionally good. We tried brunch and we were most disappointed. It took 30 minutes to get our food and nothing was hot. We scheduled our time there at the latter part of brunch, but this is no excuse for food that was most disappointing. This experience will not deter me from returning for lunch, but brunch will have to be elsewhere for all five of us.
We sat out on the patio and it was perfect with friends hadn't seen for a while. Business was very slow, so svc Was faster than usual and attentive excellent server. Food was delicious and very fresh tasting for some reason .
It saddens me to say this, as I’ve been here several times and recommended the location even more. But I’ve noticed an overall decline. This evening I went for dinner, arriving over an hour before closing time, and was greeted immediately by annoyance. The restaurant was nearly empty, and it seemed to bother the hostess that I was asking for a table for two. She checked her watch MULTIPLE times, and rolled her eyes. The experience only continued to become more uncomfortable as we had to watch them sweep the floors around us, loudly shake out their garbage bags as they took out the garbage and refilled new ones, close out the drawers, shut off the lights (including in the dessert counter before I even received my food to know if I’d want to top it off with a sweet treat or not), and other closing tasks. The hostess then proceeded to sit at the front bar and rest her head while she sat on her phone, visibly annoyed and waiting for us to finish and leave. My daughter was here from out of town, and to say I am embarrassed to have chosen this place to take her to is an understatement. We were uncomfortable and contemplating just taking our food and leaving the entire time. We finished up with still a half hour before closing, and weren’t even sent off with a “have a nice night” (it was only us, she wasn’t too busy, just on her phone still….).
I do want to note, the waitress who assisted us was kind and helpful, but we just could not get over the horrible atmosphere created beyond that. The three stars for food is because my steak was not cooked as I ordered, and I was too worried we would further annoy the staff to even request to send it back for an adjustment.
I am hopeful this will not be anyone else’s experience, and am so disappointed to say it was mine.
