I literally cant find a single reason to complain! the counter people were insanely polite, complimented me on my jacket and gave me fantastic service, the shop was small and cute, and the donuts! oh my gosh best donuts I've probably ever had, perfect for a nice little morning with my family

Lots of donut variety and unique flavors. The PB&J donut was amazing and a unique "pie donut." The donut base was soft and airy like a normal raised donut with a bit more air pockets and glutinous texture. It was also not sweet at all, which paired nicely with the chocolate peanut butter glaze. The Girl Scouts donut tried to imitate the famous coconut cookies, but it didn't capture their strong coconut flavor. This is probably due to the fresher ingredients and less sugar, and despite this, it was still great. This raised donut base was perfect: light, fresh, and not oily. The workers are friendly and helpful, and there are often samples.

As always when we travel, we look for a local place for donuts. Thought you couldn't go wrong with a place called The Local Donut. I was right. These donuts were amazing. Got a dozen of the traditional, and they did not disappoint. Picked 6 different types, glazed, chocolate, sugar, cinnamon, red velvet glazed, and old fashioned, and they all were so good. Stay away from the chains, even the PHX one, and find The Local. Worth it.
Parking: In a small strip mall, with a restaurant, so parking could be difficult.
Kid-friendliness: It's donuts, of course it is kid friendly.

The creme brulee and cronut are amazing. My husband did a custom order here for a birthday surprise for me and they were the best donuts I've ever had.

Clean spot with exceptional customer service. The gentleman even threw in an extra mochi donut. S’mores donut on point with mascarpone on top was such a treat! Will be back thanks for a tasty treat!

Been coming here for almost two years to get donuts for my office. I always get the Local Dozen A. Good variety of donuts. This is the best donut shop in Scottsdale by far!

Used to be good now just overpriced and not worth it. Lucky donuts or hurts are better and much cheaper. The only thing this place had that was good was cronuts but they changed the recipe now they taste terrible not sure why they changed it but at least now im not wasting $10 for 2 donuts

Absolutely loved their donuts! Even two days later, they still tasted fresh and amazing. The sweetness was just right and the toppings were incredibly flavorful. The mochi donut, in particular, was spectacular—chewy, delicious, and unforgettable. I’d definitely order from them again!
P.S. it’s worth waking up early to buy donuts from them as they close early & you get to enjoy freshly made donuts! 🍩

This is the perfect donut shop. Me pa and I are semi pro donut connoisseurs and this place is quite possibly our new all time favorite, we need time to think as this is a serious matter, but good God.. it's perfect. Nothing we tried was too sweet nor too bland nor too fancy and confusing; everything just hit some magical spot that made me feel like I was reading a Harry potter book next to a fire on a cold snowy winter morning while my grandmother hugged me with unconditional love even though I just got high with her golden retriever. Again, perfection. I'm convinced these recipes, are the conjuring of a few German grandmas in the Bavarian Alps that were chosen by the gods to perfect the American donut, I cannot be convinced otherwise. Go. If you know greatness, you will experience donut perfection. If you try and feel let down, just know the gods are disappointed in you for having the taste buds of a confused 6 year old that only eats organic Oreos and Paleo ciabatta bread.

I'm afraid th give Local Donut such a great review because I don't want to share! Go early so they don't sell out of all the best stuff. Be prepared to fight for parking but, oh, it's worth the fight!
