Very loud and hard to hear with our party of 10. Could basically only talk to the person next to me. Food was great.

Food was not bad, our hostess was the sweetest! Forgot her name but she’s got long dark hair & a freckle below her left eye. Guy who brought our food however was Very unprofessional. Brought the plates over & my friend asked what he brought, just to confirm the order was right. Responded with did you not want the food you ordered? My friend clarified she was just checking we got all the right food to which he responded with are you my manager? I get in the hospitality/dining world you deal with all kinds of guests but this was unwarranted & escalated everything. This was my 1st experience & esp being an establishment in Scottsdale I never would have expected this. Cannot remember his name but we were the party of 4 ladies celebrating a bday, we also got the big, communal, punch bowl w/bday candles. 4/4:30 pm 9/27 :(

We came here after leaving Breakfast Club across the street due to poor customer service, and I’m so glad we did!
Our group of 16 was seated for a birthday brunch in less than 10 minutes on a Sunday morning—a big win. The food was excellent (highly recommend the potatoes and biscuits!), and even our picky eaters had no complaints.
There’s no kids’ menu, but the French pancakes with Nutella and strawberries were a huge hit with the little ones. The staff also thoughtfully provided plastic cups with lids, which was much appreciated.
I especially liked how organized the service was—our food came out smoothly and efficiently.
The atmosphere was fantastic with live music, followed by a DJ, and football on the TVs.
Huge thanks to the friendly staff for making the celebration so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

Best lunch and early dinner vibes. Food was ok. But the energy in this place is amazing. The dj usually plays guitar and walks up to the tables. Pretty cool experience. Also they allow dogs

Went here with our bachelorette group for brunch and LOVED it. You get plenty of food and everything was good. Riley was our server and he was awesome! Would highly recommend.

Incredible experience here! Went for brunch with some friends for a bachelorette. The server Aynsley was so sweet, gave our bride these super cute sunglasses that said congratulations & at the end of our meal she brought out a round of shots for all of us! The food and drinks were delish! The decor was so aesthetically pleasing and the love music really set the scene
Good place

The Montauk delivers an immersive maritime dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the carefully crafted nautical/beach atmosphere makes you feel like you're dining on the deck of a seaside boat, complete with authentic maritime details that enhance the overall experience.
The standout dishes here are absolutely worth the visit. The fish tacos are nothing short of remarkable - fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared with a perfect balance of textures and seasonings. On our first visit, the lobster bisque was equally impressive, rich and luxurious with deep, complex flavors that showcased the kitchen's capabilities. The cocktail program is another highlight, offering delicious drinks even sans alcohol.
However, consistency proved to be an issue during our return visit within the same week. The lobster bisque, which had been exceptional just days earlier, fell short of its previous standard. While still decent, it lacked the depth and richness that had made such a strong first impression, suggesting some inconsistency in preparation or ingredients.
The service throughout both visits was attentive and friendly, with staff who clearly understand the menu and ambiance the restaurant is trying to create. Unfortunately, there's a noticeable issue with pacing that detracted from what should be a leisurely dining experience. Despite the restaurant not being completely packed on either visit, we felt rushed through our meal at times, which doesn't align with the relaxed nautical vibe the space otherwise creates so well.
Despite these concerns, The Montauk offers enough charm and culinary highs that I'd definitely return. The unique atmosphere and standout dishes like those fish tacos make it worth another visit, hopefully with more consistent execution and a more relaxed pace.
