Nice patio and a warm welcome. Nice servers and decent prices but the food isn't great. Shrimp cocktail was okay. Liked the spinach & artichoke dip & the Kobe sliders. Definitely did not like the very greasy and over battered fish & chips. Tasted like they were all fried together and SO greasy! Also no coleslaw to balance out anything. Glad we tried it but won't be back. FYI they have the same greasy fries at Mowry & Cotton

Really amazing service by our server Jeff. The food took an eternity. Jeff told us it was because a lot of tables came in all at once. This would seem pretty standard since everything there is a reservation. The wedge salad was the best thing we ate. I didn’t like the Sea Bass and the steak was just ok.Restaurant was freezing, was very hard to be comfortable.

I was expecting quite a bit more from the food. Service was good, ambiance was fine, a bit loud but it is more or less a sports bar so can't complain about that. Started with appetizers. Those were fine, the fried spicey pickles were excellent. Cooked perfectly. For the entre I ordered a French Dip with sweet potato fries. I love French Dips, have had them at many many places. This was in the running for the worst one I have ever had.The horseradish sauce was so overwhelming with added "smoke" that it was all you could taste. The meat had no taste and was at times rubbery, stringy, fatty and tough. The au ju was tasteless. I left half the sandwich untouched for fear I'd return it all to the table. On to the sweet potato fries... They came waffle cut. Several in our party had them as the side. Everyone's fries were terribly overcooked. The outer third were near black and dry. The inner part was marginally edible but almost all the taste was cooked out. None of this should have escaped the kitchen. I can't comment in any detail about what I didn't eat but the others had crab roll and mostly burgers. No one commented on anything except the appetizers which got favorable comments.

We came to the tavern every day of our stay at The Phoenician. While we received excellent service every day, Brittany G. was exceptional. She was communicative, kind, and attentive. We highly recommend the nachos, too! Great queso.

Staying at the hotel so tried it out. Food was ok. Typical of hotel food. Nothing to write about. If you're here it'll work.

We have dined at the Phoenician before and it was absolutely phenomenal but it was our first Christmas Buffet at the Phoenician Tavern! I thought this would be high end, and a Christmas night dinner to remember/ possibly make a tradition. BUT to charge $85 plus the service fee and the 20% tip (because what kind of scrooge wouldn’t tip on Christmas Day) this is NOT worth it.. $300 later and I’ve never been more disappointed in a restaurant that claims to be resort style.. I have also NEVER written a review, specially a negative one like this but hopefully it saves someone else a horrible Christmas night..The $22 drink I had tasted like pure cough syrup, my husband agreed, and it was supposed to be a fruity pineapple raspberry martini (Sonoran Martini). We got our first plate and one of the waiters or hosts followed me back to the table to asked if my husband enjoyed the football then asked if he ignored me a lot during it.. which to me was incredibly rude/crossing a boundary. We had our first round and it took until was almost done with our second plates for anyone to grab the first two empty plates on our table.. yet three wait staff said goodbye to us when we left so I know they we not understaffed at all.. then the kicker was two of the desserts ran out, our reservations were at 7:15 and we left by 8:40. How do you run out of the two out of the four desserts you’re serving and still charging folks full price? Plus it’s not like we showed up astronomically late, we were on time and it’s insane that they ran out early.. why offer a buffet when you can’t actually keep up with the intake of your guests? All together I would never recommend this to anyone, unless you want to throw away your money to the name of the Phoenician. Bad service, over priced and disappointing menu experiences.

I made reservations for my son and I to have brunch on Christmas Day. The gentleman Mason who sat us in the outdoor patio was pleasant. Our server Chara C was fantastic. The atmosphere was perfect! Was a beautiful day and had a spectacular view. I ordered the fork and knife Taver burger and my son had the Patty melt. I ordered a Lavendar Fairway and my son ordered a Chivas Regal 12 yr old Scotch. He noticed that there was some sort of 6 leg insect in his drink. The bartender was nice enough to not charge him and I did let one of the managers on duty know. He apologized but the most disturbing thing is the bartender continued to use the Chivas Scotch and pur for other customers. This does not sit well especially after we brought it to their attention. We will return and it another try for dinner. Please just be careful what you order.

We recently celebrated New Year's Eve at the Phoenician Tavern, and it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight of the evening was the incredible dueling pianos, which created a fantastic vibe. We were surrounded by quality people, adding to the already wonderful atmosphere. The food was exceptional, truly a culinary delight. Every aspect of our evening was perfect, making our experience at the Phoenician Tavern in Scottsdale, Arizona, one to remember. Highly recommended for a special celebration! Xoxo ? It's a Tavern but at the Phoenician. Pretty standard tavern menu, we had chicken club and French dip, well done but what stand out is the service and smile/attitude of the staff!. Was a wonderful Christmas Day experience

Made reservation for Christmas Day. There was no mention that it was a fixed price buffet $80 per person. Would never have made this reservation if I knew that ahead of time. Food was cold and not very good either.

First off my Server was terrific!!! In all fairness it hard to sometimes manage a buffet situation in an area where there normally wouldn't be one. It was too crowded for the small space, the line was long to get food. My food was actually cold. The carving station portions were tiny which meant more than one trip and more waiting. I will have a normal meal here before I go home and hope that it is up to par to the rest of my experience while saying at the beautiful Phoenician!!

Friendly, great location. Christmas Buffet was kind of casual as compared to buffets that the Phoenician has done in the past in the main hotel, but good selection. One of our party was vegetarian. No entrees for him but a lot of side dishes that he could eat. The staff did a great job of keeping dishes from running out. Manager was present and helping a lot. One thing that would make it nicer would be tablecloths and setups on the table. Since it was Christmas Dinner you would not expect to be seated at bare wooden tables.

Awful holiday experience. $80 a head 20% gratuity charged. Took a half hour to get a drink, no water was served took another 20 to get water after we asked. No linen on the table. Table was wiped down. Felt like I was eating in a diner, where I spent over $100 a head. They should be ashamed of themselves.
