I dont know where they are but I know where they are not: at the address on this listing.
I love a decent Neapolitan pie and this is not that! This is an amazing Neapolitan pizza!! The thin crispy crust, the sweet yet robust sauce, the top quality fresh toppings and the authentic fresh made mozzarella...Shinebox is better than Poma! There I said it! James and his family have turned this airstream into an Italian pizza kitchen that in my opion goes head to head with Chris Bianco! If you like true Italian flavors and appreciate the craftsmanship that it take to make a perfect pizza, check out Shinebox pizza. They are just getting started and doing a pop up in front of Dapper Devil barbershop, but I'm sure his following will expand quick and they will have to be open much much more. Follow them on IG for updates and hours for now
Their pizza is SO good! We tried the Big Poppa & the Nun. Both were very tasty. They are super nice & very friendly.
There are just a couple of tables there so we are on our tailgate. The weather was perfect so it was a fun experience.
I look forward to going back. One of the best pizza places we’ve been to!
(They are located on 5th Ave rather than 5th St. I let them know to update the address listed on Google.)
Amazing pizzas.fresh and tasty.i got the Big Poppa and was very happy. Jamie and Candice do an amazing job and make you feel like family.its a must go when in Scottsdale. Support a great family with great pies
Couldn’t tell if I was in Rome or Scottsdale. Didn’t care either, it felt like I was at Nona’s house. If you like good pizza and better people, this is the place for you.
James has continued the infamous Greasy Tony’s family legacy in the form of a kick ass airstream pizza trailer. You have got to check them out! I ordered the “big poppa” pepperoni pie and woofed down the entire thing without feeling like I needed a nap. He finds the right balance of a spicy sauce without going overboard, enough salt, light crunch on the crust but like grandma’s homemade dinner rolls inside with a perfect char on the undercarriage. Dave Portnoy ain’t ready for this one. You can really feel the love.
Really cool family-owned and operated airstream food truck. Check it out.
Boo ya! Delicious Italian comfort food healed us when we were weak. The tomato bisque and pasta Alfredo hit the spot we didn’t even know was hurting. We came in weak. We left strong.
No good at all The music was good The wine selection was good for a small place but the antipasto we ordered so much garlic and the chicken parmigiana no good at all neither ! Even the dessert with chocolate was good.
Had lunch & a drink the bar. Beer wasn’t as cold as I’d like, but it was good. Food was pretty good. I’d try it again if I was back in town.

Went for new years dinner and was underwhelmed. Service was slow and the good read just ok. They did offer gluten friendly options but weren't careful with the food. For example, they put bread on top of the mozzarella appetizer when we asked for gluten free.
We had the best carpaccio with lemon oil and rocket. Followed by very good pasta dishes?? We had the best service also. We would love to come back?
We stopped in for lunch, and enjoyed our food. My spouse had the ravioli and I had a meatball sandwich. We had a side of garlic bread. The pasta and sandwich were both really good and filling. The sauces were mild but still flavorful. The bread for the sandwich and garlic bread was soft and not too heavy. Service was good. The fries with the sandwich were not very good however. It tasted like the oil was old or something was cooked in it that gave a strange flavor to the fries. The restaurant was very clean, and you can tell the staff take pride in it. We would try for dinner if in the area.
Excellent food and top notch service makes this a win if you are looking for Italian in Old Scottsdale! unusual takes on traditional foods.
We ate at La Locanda, but the one that is located on N. Scottsdale Rd. This restaurant serves lunch and dinner, not just dinner like the other one. The food and wine was delicious and the price was right. Service was excellent, too. It was my husband's birthday, and they actually brought him a dessert with a candle in it and sang to him. Will definitely return when we are in Scottsdale!
