This restaurant has been going downhill for a while but though I’d give it another chance because it used to be one of my favorite since I moved here years ago. Went last night for dinner and seriously regret it. Waited over an hour for our food and then when we got it, it was so bad I couldn’t eat it. I took two bites and it was so stale, gross and like the meat had been sitting out and reheated. The bread was rock hard, I could barely chew through it. Besides that it just didn’t taste right at all. Because I was worried about this, I sent it back and didn’t want to order anything else after that. Today, both my boyfriend and I are so sick, both with bad stomach aches and wild nausea. Our server was nice and this was not her fault at all, but whatever is going on in the kitchen there is a disaster. I can’t believe what they’ll serve customers. Clearly they do not follow food safety protocols or care about their customers. Will for sure never eat here again- seriously disturbed by the fact that we are both so sick after eating here.

Strange atmosphere, weird vibe for a strip mall. Food was ok. Service was generally unattentive. I would go out of my way for it.

Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly

Had a reservation for a birthday
dinner... Sat us at a table next to a door that kept opening very cold - plenty of tables open around asked to move before our drinks even came - They said no "how can we make it right" "Move us" Nope 4 of the rudest people ever in a restaurant - made no effort to help us! Don't go - run away!

Our drinks, appetizers and meals were great.
This is my second or third time coming to The Vig when friends or family come into town, and this was the first time trying this location.
Our reservation was at 5:30, and at 7:13 the host/manager came and said “can I take these plates for you? Oh, also we have another reservation at this table at 7:30, so will that be enough time to wrap up?” Leaving us feeling like we couldn’t get dessert or enjoy another drink and conversation with our friends in town.
Totally caught me off guard and found that maybe had it been 7:35 and we were still just sitting there talking that conversation could have been had, but when our waitress asked if he wanted to get dessert, I wanted to respond “will we have enough time for that?”
It was a bit odd, and sort of left a sour taste in my mouth for The Vig.
Other than that, it was good as usual! ◡̈

We have had great experiences at the Vig in the past, however our experience tonight was so disappointing. They served us disgusting water and now I have a stomach ache from it. We also asked to sit on the back patio - was told no seats were available. I walked to the back patio later on to check it, only two tables were seated there. Would have appreciated honestly as to why we could not sit on the back patio.

Expensive for what it is, but good. +$20 for 3 enchiladas and +$20 for decent pasta….. the food was good - just didn’t feel it was worth the price.

Great neighborhood venue. Always a good choice. Walkable from many of the neighborhoods in the McCormick Ranch area.

Sat outside with a party of 9. One server for all of us. Had a Mediterranean salad that was a soup of salad dressing. Ugh.

We came here because they allow dogs on the patio and we are traveling with our small dog. The rockfish tacos should be an appetizer as they are street taco sized and don’t even come with rice , very overpriced . We were very disappointed no free chips and salsa and we were not even offered a dog water . Won’t be coming back as the music was also way too loud.

The location was such a great experience. The waitress Christine was super sweet. She’s definitely one in a million. The manager and rest of staff were equally pleasant. The food was spectacular which Christine kind of suggested. I’ve been to the Peoria location which was a completely different rating but this location is top notch. Thank you Vig Scottsdale for such a great experience!

Andy, the bartender/wait staff was amazing. He was very personable. He made recommendations. He checked on me several times (not over the top) and would chat a bit each time. He seemed genuine and really appeared to like his job. Drinks were on point and the food was good. I went there twice during my stay in Scottsdale.
