Small place, feels like family. Fresh food, great flavors! Tried half the menu with the group we were with and everything was delicious.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The location is a bit off the beaten path as its within an industrial park but don't let that discourage you from giving this restaurant a try. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent very authentic Germanand the beer as well as wine matched the quality we had while visiting Germany. You will not be disappointed. We ourselves will be returning soon, it was just that spectacular!

This is the cutest hidden gem I’ve seen! The staff are the sweetest people ever, treat you like family even on your first visit. I also love how they support so many local businesses. Their food is incredible, authentic German. I had the goulash, pretzel with obzader, and apple strudel - all very delicious! I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes. Highly recommend everyone try them.
This was such an overwhelming disappointment. I’m not sure where to begin.. from the awful service to the mediocre food. There was an older gentleman who served us and completely ignored us the entire meal. They were out of 2 of our selections and tried to send us home with fries that arrived after our meal! There are much better options for our food dollars. Management needs to get on top of these issues if they want to remain in business.

This was a good find on the North East of Scottsdale. It is in an office complex so not on a regular restaurant route. We were very pleased with our visit.
At the front door are slabs of the Berlin Wall. They provide chalk for patrons to leave messages. Which is the first in our unique experience.
For starters we shared the XXL Brezel (pretzel). We splurged for their cheese spread (Obzader) which was worth it. Most places serve a beer cheese which is just a gooey substance that doesn’t taste like either. This was a savory blend of cheese and herbs that will truly satisfy your palate.
We also had the Kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes) with apple sauce. They were crispy with soft centers and did not disappoint.
I appreciate that they provide the option of selecting two sides with the entrees. We both selected red cabbage that was so sweet and delicious. We also selected the Kasespatzle which are small noodle dumplings with parsle and Swiss cheese. My husband’s grandmother made them smothered in cheese but to me it was a good balance of cheese to noodle.
My entree was the chicken schnitzel and my husband chose the rouladen. The schnitzel was tender and crispy and a lemon was provided to spritz on top. The rouladen were linen with bacon and onions with a brown sauce. Both dishes were scrumptious.
If you have the opportunity I would recommend this German faire for a meal. The dining area is not large but able to accommodate small and larger parties. The music was contemporary so no German music or accordion. You can go for a full meal or drinks and appetizers. Make sure you sign the wall!

Talked to the owner/head chef, who is from Heidelberg, and uses her grandmother's recipes. They even handmake their own curry ketchup!

As a German I am always excited to try a place that serves German food. What a disappointment this place was. Beer was lukewarm. Had the currywurst pommes as a starter - also lukewarm/cold. The only good part was the sausage but I can hardly credit the restaurant for sourcing good sausage. The schnitzel was lukewarm and bland. The Rotkohl tasted like something that came out of a can, definitely not oma’s good stuff. The roulade looked like someone had put that together in a hurry, was tough and chewy, lukewarm and also bland.

amazing atmosphere, amazing food, amazing desserts. it's hard for me to find food that is cooked well that sits right with my stomach, but the ingredients are fresh and the care put into the food is divine. the apple strudel was a HIGHLIGHT- toasted nuts are a delightful surprise that rounds it out. the host went out of her way to wish us goodbye. we WILL be returning.
