This was our first visit to Ginny's kitchen. We like that we could get in easy and it wasn't over crowded. the food was good but not great. Nothing real special on the entrees.The wine by the glass choices were poor. No good Chardonnay's or Cabs by the glass. The only Zinfandel was $19 . If we come back maybe I'll try a hard liquor drink.
The bbq chicken poor boy ordered by three of the four of use - amazing, rave reviews - outstanding. I had the shrimp and grits, a favorite - delicious as well but served differently from previous times. Desert for three - beignets were awesome, chocolate cream pie - stellar, lemon sorbet I ordered far too covered in overly sweet and thick berry compote, and the lemon sorbet was a frozen disk. I had read the reviews about Ginny's Kitchen and thought it would be a good place to try. We went w/our neighbors with whom we have often gone out to dinner. Also looked at the menu before making the reservation. The location is convenient, however, the noise level is really loud, and I agree w/the review that the lighting is too bright.
