The Village Coffee Roastery on Hayden and Via de Ventura in Scottsdale is an absolute hidden gem!

Tucked into the Mercado Shopping Plaza, this place has been around for about 30 years, and the current owner, Lisa, has lovingly run it for the last 20. They roast their own beans in house, craft their own pastries, and serve up an amazing breakfast menu. Delicious food, unique house coffee roasts (the Burundi blend is sooooo good 😋), and a friendly group of employees who clearly know how to run a well-oiled operation! Really nice ambiance as well — we’re digging the soft lighting and recess-tiled ceiling. We’ll be back for sure!

Ive been here 4 times now and its been a different experience every time. First time great. Second time “okay”. The last two times not good. But in case you do want to come, this is what you can expect. Only the owner and one other person seem to know the menu. You may have to ask them to heat up your food as they bring breakfast items cold (had to ask twice to get bagels toasted today and this has now happened to me twice).
