Virtu is our favorite restaurant in Phoenix for special occasions. Why, because it is just that special. The food, service, and atmosphere is outstanding. Recently, we celebrated our anniversary with 15 family members at Virtu. We were seated in their courtyard, and the evening was perfect! The restaurant is a hidden gem in Scottsdale.

Vegetarian options: Fish and pasta

Kid-friendliness: Our grandchildren, 9, 10, and 13 years of age, enjoyed their visit.

Virtu is a hidden little gem! We have been many times and it's excellent every time and the service is just as impressive as the food! The atmosphere is quaint, and the patio is very inviting.

Celebrating a special occasion, although this is a restaurant we plan to visit more often. The presentation of the food is state of the art and second to none. We had the asparagus and bone-in ribeye. Both expertly prepared. Absolutely delicious. We look forward to trying more of their menu options.

Tucked quietly in old town Scottsdale, this restaurant is a true gem! Our evening was nothing short of phenomenal! Despite the chilly and brisk evening, the patio seating is incredibly inviting and heated. The patio is large while maintaining its intimacy. Our group of four decided to go with the prix fixe menu and wine pairing. The burrata and grilled octopus were outstanding. Our group had two orders of the scallop dish as a main, the pork chops and sea bass. We all tried each other’s dishes and wine pairings. Each dish was seasoned to perfection and undeniably delicious. Our server was outstanding offering recommendations with ease as his familiarity with the menu shone through. We cannot wait to come back and see what the chef comes up with next as the menu changes frequently. Overall, an outstanding experience!

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed this Mediterranean influenced restaurant. As the lone vegan in our group, I was pleased to find the chef could make changes to existing dishes to accommodate my needs. I was not stuck eating a piece of lettuce or unseasoned steamed vegetables.

Our server Michael was friendly and attentive. He answered all our questions and was very helpful.

The atmosphere was very nice. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet Scottsdale neighborhood. It has lovely patio with heaters near the tables. In addition, the patio has several fire pits and comfy benches.

The food was outstanding. My meal included a poached pear salad, mushroom risotto, and lemon sorbetto. My friends enjoyed their dishes as well. These ranged from spicy pork loin chop, to scallops with polenta, to a creamy pasta dish.

Kid-friendliness: Not really a restaurant young children would enjoy

I had a fantastic, michelin-worthy meal here while visiting Scottsdale. I was incredible impressed by the complexity of the flavors in each dish. Execution was a 10/10. Service was on point. This is the best meal I've had in Arizona. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Soooooooooo good!!!! We sat outside which was really nice. The entire experience from the start was great. We had the salad and a burrata for the starter which were excellent. Decided on the tomahawk steak and I have to say one of the best prepared and presentations we have had. Fantastic flavor and the side sauces were great. Our desserts were also great, bread pudding and the sticky toffee cake were delicious. Nice wine and cocktails were fun. Can’t wait to go back. UPDATE: still so so good!!!! Had one of the pastas and a pork. The wine menu is so interesting. Can’t wait to come back. LOVED

I took my son, his two college roommates, and my daughter to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. I booked a table outside, and I assumed that they would be set up like most other restaurants and have some fans or a cooling system in place, but that was not the case. This was disappointing, as we had all dressed up nicely, and we sweated the whole meal.

Our waiter was awesome! He took excellent care of us!

I wanted to love this restaurant. I was recommended to VHC by a friend. In addition, I researched restaurants looking for the "perfect" spot to celebrate my son, and VHC looked like a special place.

We had the octopus (polpo) cooked both ways for appetizers, and I had the branzino. While, I was thrilled that they could accommodate my food allergies/sensitivities, I was not that impressed with the food, especially for the price. Perhaps, we were too hot dining outside to truly enjoy the meal, but I was not alone in my opinion. My kids and the other two young men with me said it was good, but not the memorable meal we had hoped for.

Chef Gio can do better by getting rid of foie gras from the menu! One of the most unethical foods could be easily removed from the asparagi! I will not eat here until foie gras is OFF the menu!

The food was delicious. I felt the portions were perfect. Not too much or too little. We ordered the 40oz steak and the burrata and the yellowtail hamachi. The torte and the chocolate cake. We also ordered the spaghetti with caviar. It was all really delicious. Standouts were the burrata with the yummy toasted bread, the spaghetti, the steak perfectly cooked and salted and the chocolate cake. We will be back. Our server was awesome. Made sure we had a good time and enjoyed everything.

A great little spot hidden in a garden. The food is creative, ever-changing, and amazing! Make sure to try to famous Polpo- to die for.

The host greeted us with one of the most unpleasant and disinterested greetings that I've ever experienced. If first impressions truly ring true, then, at that point, we should've just turned around and left. The food was bland, uninteresting, and the portions were ridiculously small. Of all the beautiful and hospitable restaurants in the old town Scottsdale area there is no need to be greeted and spend the evening in a place where you feel most unwelcome!
