I had the daily special of affogato and it was sublime. I also enjoyed the friendly service!

Had the Strawberry and Prickly Pear ice cream, and loved them both! The prickly pear was unique, but it was fantastic! And their pies looked awesome too. Definitely need to get back here.

Congratulations Black Cow Cafe... this is the first 1 star review I have ever left on Yelp. It was that bad... from the service to the food, I don't know which was worse. My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday around 8:30 pm because there weren't many food options that were open. A hotdog and pie sounded good so we figured we'd give it a try. Big mistake! SERVICE - The guy taking our order (receipt said his name was Camden) had NO personality. I ordered two hot dogs and he just kind of stared at me. After a few seconds, he finally said he would go check to see if they had any. He came back and said they did and asked what I wanted on it so I said the works (as listed on the menu). He told us it also came with a water or fountain drink... they were out of ice in the drink dispenser so we opted for bottles of water. We also ordered a piece of pie. After paying, we sat at a table for over 25 minutes before he finally came out with the two hotdogs and bags of chips. We waited a few more minutes for the pie, which never came. I went back to the front to ask another worker for the piece of pie which had never been touched from the case. That worker was apologetic but I could see the first guy in the background of the kitchen area doing absolutely nothing while she helped us. PRICING - The total was $27.88 after tax and before tip for two hot dogs ($10 each) and a piece of pie ($5.25). Considering how awful they both were, it was way overpriced. HOT DOG (1/10) - The best part of this was the bottle of water and chips that comes with it... which is pathetic. The description said "all beef hot dog enclosed in a crunchy baguette with ketchup, mustard, & relish". I will say that the hot dog is a good size in terms of length and thickness but it's a standard hot dog... salty and nothing special. The kicker is how it is served... half the hot dog was sticking out of the baguette which was tough and tasted stale. Then, you don't get any of the toppings while you're actually eating the hot dog because they're stuffed in the bottom of the baguette. Since half the hot dog was sticking out, you're left with half the baguette and just toppings once you finish eating the actual hot dog. BOURBON CHOCOLATE CHIP PECAN (2/10) - Again, this was pretty awful pie. The crust was flavorless, hard, and dry to the point that we could barely cut through it with the utensils we were given. The actual filling was okay but you could tell it had been sitting pretty much all day so it was also dry and tasted stale. You get a dollop of whipped cream which was unfortunately the highlight. Not only would I never return to Black Cow Cafe, I will go out of my way to warn others not to come. Even as one of the few food places open on a Sunday night, I would have rathered gone to bed hungry than suffer through that awful service and food (if you can even call it that). Yikes... definitely avoid this place and thank me later!

Cute little ice cream shop in Sedona! I had to try the prickly pear ice cream being in town. It did not disappoint and had a unique flavor. The Belgian chocolate was good too. To be honest, the ice cream didn't taste as fresh or homemade. I felt like this is something I could buy at a grocery store. The service was okay and there was some seating indoors. If you want to try prickly pear ice cream, I'd look into other nearby ice cream shops. Otherwise I would no return.

This was the perfect place to drop in for respite from the Sedona strip. The alluring scent of freshly baking pies and hot espresso drew us in. I had a slice of apple crumble pie and my wife had her first strawberry rhubarb in a year! Paired with a steaming latte and served with a smile! Prices are great, lower than what I would expect from a handmade bakery! They also make their own ice cream with traditional and some excellent flavors I've never seen (vanilla malt) Yum!

We were happy to find a place that had prickly pear ice cream to try. It had a very herbally taste. Almost like a tea flavored ice cream. Fun to try. We were the only ones in the restaurant.

Wonderful handmade ice cream! Wasn't very crowded in what seems to be the off season, but the staff were attentive and easy to work with. Each serving may seem small in size, but sufficiently flavorful that you feel you have had a decent dessert.

Absolutely the best ?. I'm a group tour guide and after each Sedona scenic tour, I stop here to buy my clients the largest jaw dropping delicious chocolate drizzle maroon you ever saw & enjoy. Or the square shaped powder sugar covered lemon bar that melts in your mouth with burst of sweet lemon flavors. Yummy. I get a kick out of watching my clients take the 1st bite & yells: "oh my gosh this is soo good". This Cafe has many varieties of ice-cream flavors, storemade waffle cones, toppings, milk shakes, giant pies & pasteries, prickly pear lemonade, coffee and more. It's located perfectly in the Uptown Sedona shopping district nestled in the perfect spot where you can see ? snoopy rock while you enjoy your ice-cream. The store is family owned and operated, and everyone is super friendly & patient. If you are in the area stop here to get your treat you won't be disappointed. Causion: could have long lines in busy seasons so be patient. It's worth the wait.

Had an absolutely wonderful affogato here!! You can taste the care and love they put into their ice cream and espresso. Everything is home made high quality and you won't regret coming here! Even on a chilly December day it was so enjoyable. The barista who took my order was very kind, helpful, and accommodating as well.

Cute ice creamery with a decent selection of ice cream. I got the calf-ogatto (affogato) which was coffee with vanilla ice cream in it. It was a small amount but very delicious.

We ordered a pint of ice cream which was $12. They guy only filled it 2/3 of the way. I nicely pointed this out and requested that he full it. He rolled his eyes and put in a little more but you could easily feel the big air pockets. I get scooped pints at home and they are packed, there is a big difference. The ice cream was good, but not great.Would not go again.
