“Left an amazing church service today looking for fantastic food to treat myself for a Mother's Day Lunch. I stopped at one restaurant thinking I was going to have a great steak but it was very subpar. I took two bites (nothing beats a great steak in Texas) I didn't finish it. I drove further and happened upon Rascal. I have heard mixed reviews on the service but most have said the food was good. I ordered the fish tacos and a prickly pear margarita. Yummmmmmm. I enjoyed the tacos a great deal and the margarita was par for the course. I am admittedly a little selective when it comes to food because tend to compare everything on what I can find back home. I would definitely tell my friends visiting Sedona to drop in. I was seated pretty quickly. It wasn't overly crowded which is what I expected on Mother's Day. Now for the service, the wait staff seems nice. It wasn't that over-the-top friendly service I enjoy (I truly love it when staff makes me feel like they are happy I came in. I call it Chik Fil A service) Although I don't have that "please come back to see us feeling," I will say the food is good!!!! And when friends come to visit me here, I'll likely be back anyway.😊“

“Cress is one of our favorite restaurants in Sedona. We go here periodically for special occasions. The setting (as usual), as well as the food - Burrata & Bread, Scallops, Halibut, Smoked Pommes Puree - were absolutely outstanding. Unfortunately, the service, which started out quite well, faded by our second course. Despite interacting with no less than 10 to 12 different people throughout the evening, we were essentially ignored as the deck got busier. We had to request silverware, ask to order a bottle of wine from three separate servers before finally receiving it well after our entrees arrived, and never did get an ice bucket despite the promise of one. Plenty of service people pretending it was a fine dining experience, but lacking adequate training, management, coordination, awareness, etc to really provide one. Needless to say, we will carefully consider our other options before spending upwards of $400 in the future.“
