was awesome except i made a reservation to sit directly on the river and they weren't offering that when we came for some reason so that was a bit disappointing. other than that, a great experience!
Great meal in all respects.

Not what I expected. It is a very nice patio by the creek to eat outside, but if you are looking for a view of the creek, I would recommend to go at lunchtime. It seems as though they push the 7 course tasting menu over the “à la carte” menu, which is very limited (they hand you two tasting menus and only one “à la carte” menu...isnt that wierd?) The food was only so so. I had the airline chicken (which was overwhelmed with a black pepper crust, which i had to scrape off), and the cucumber salad that came with it was very minimal. My husband had the carbonara spaghetti, which had minimal pancetta. If you go by car, be prepared to pay for the $17 valet parking fee. They are a valet only restaurant... On the positive side, Scott, our waiter was extremely polite and helpful.
Loved the service! Amazing service. Atmosphere was everything to die for. The food options are limited, and the food could've had more spice & flavor. The desserts were ok but the birthday dessert was amazing. They needed to add that to the menu. I would go back to do the chefs tasting menu next time.

I absolutely loved the ambiance and atmosphere at Cress. We sat outdoors by the river and it was tranquil and peace; however, the food and service was below subpar. I was elated to see that they had a few vegan options, so we ordered the hummus as an appetizer, which was good. They had a vegan burger on the menu and it was disgusting. I typically don’t use the word disgusting to describe food, but this burger warranted it. Whatever the patty consisted of, it was cold and the fries were cold. I was so disappointed, as I was in from out of town and was told this was a nice place to dine at. On a good note, I had the Love Affair drink and I did enjoy that.

Been a favorite spot of mine for 17 years. Last week I had the 6 course dinner and it was amazing! The mosquitos were a bit much BUT they had a spray that took care of it! The sound of the creek is incredible.

Beautiful place. Live music. Great scenery. Make sure to make reservations to make it easier to be seated.

What a beautiful place to dine. Not only is the ambiance absolutely perfect the service is on point and the food is delicious. It is not easy to find a restaurant with all three and Cress hit the nail on the head ! It is just a special place!
I made a reservation months in advance for my husbands birthday for breakfast which is his favorite meal. The time was 9 am. When we arrived we were immediately informed that we could not be seated by the creek because the staff would be power washing the deck. Talk about disappointing! They couldn't have told us this when I made the reservation? And why at that time? So we sat on the deck closer to the building and the power washers literally put the power washer directly in front of my husband and I and plugged it in. So our $100 breakfast was shouting over each other to the scent of gasoline. I was furious. Most of the staff was very pleasant and the food was good. I was just really disappointed and wish they could have warned us ahead of time.
It was a beautiful setting for dinner beside the creek with lots of trees and lighting. The food was a disappointment. I had the prawn starter and it was tough, never had that happen before, difficult to cut with a knife and served with a ranch sauce, not a good combination IMO. I had the carbonara as my main and it was ok, a little too thick and gluey for my taste.

One of the most amazing, memorable and special dining experiences we've ever had. The menu was so creative and food - all seven courses - prepared to perfection. The service was over-the-top, from the entire wait staff, but especially Hailey, our main server - WOW! She was amazing - so attentive, professional, warm and helpful. We will definitely be back!
Not worth the money in our experience. Went for Brunch on a Sunday. The selections were just ok and you had to wait in line a while for anything fresh like omelet or any sort of egg. Scrambled or fried. In addition to it not being super convenient to get to based on seating. My husband was a big no. 1 mimosa is 18 and the parking was 17 plus 55 a person. Beautiful setting if you are outside.
2 star experience at 5 star prices.
This review is for the Sunday Brunch. It was easily the worst meal we had by far in Sedona. First off, neither the person who sat us or our waiter mentioned that this was a buffet. Sure, it says it on the website that it’s a buffet, but for nobody to mention this to us was an odd way to start things off.
You know what else it says on the website? That the brunch is $55, and we were charged $65 per person. Go check it out right now. That feels dishonest. Don’t forget about the mandatory 17 dollar valet parking as well.
So after inquiring about if this is a buffet or not, we went to get food, and it honestly had me thinking that I was being pranked. The majority of the food is stuff you can get from a continental breakfast at any low to mid tier hotel. Everything was lukewarm and the food selection seemed random. Standard hotel bacon, empanadas, falafel, chicken sausage, the worst pasta I’ve had in awhile, croissants, chicken pasta salad. The only enjoyable part of the buffet were the empanadas and the omelette/prime rib station. We each had one plate of buffet items, I had an omelette and a regular drip coffee, my girl had an iced tea. Keep in mind this is $65 per person. We paid around the same at Mariposa for dinner the night before which is mind blowing, because it’s easily the nicest, most delicious and enjoyable fine dining restaurant in the area.
I don’t like to drag places without good reason, but this whole experience just rubbed us the wrong way. Bottom line: you’re not getting what you’re paying for. We are no stranger to five star experiences, and the brunch here is not one of them.

We made reservations with slightly lower expectations given such a beautiful setting. However, our expectations were blown out of the water. We had a 5pm reservation, which was perfect to enjoy the creek, and wildlife. We arrived about 15 min early and enjoyed a delicious cocktail at the bar. Our table was very intimate and quiet. Haley our server and her team were beyond amazing. She was very helpful in recommendations and amazing orchestration of a 6 course meal. Even accommodation for my husband allergy. More than adequate portions. My favorite was the burrata and filet. The sea bass was delicious too. I would highly recommend for a special occasion.
