Overall, everything was good. We had the corn and goat cheese balls and margaritas, all were delish. Even the entrees of pork cheek and lamb adobo were good, but the lamb didn’t fall off the bone like I would have expected. And their flour tortillas which weren’t free were no bueno.

First time to try Elote cafe after seeing great reviews and the chefs cookbook in a local store and to say it was amazing is an understatement. Kanan was our server and gave great recommendations on the items and knew the menu and how each item was prepared like a seasoned pro.
We ordered the goat cheese ball appetizers which were delicious and for the main course we had the Lamb adobo, halibut and the carna asada. All were amazing and full of flavor and prepared perfectly. We ended with the chocolate pie and a seasonal after dinner drink which made to a perfect ending to our meal. I never buy cookbooks but was so impressed with the meal we bought both to try and recreate some of the salsa at home. The chef even took time to meet us and sign a copy. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation and enjoy an exceptional service from the front door staff to all the service personal at Elote.

Great service and atmosphere. Fantastic food with a highly knowledgeable staff. The elote appetizer was phenomenal, as were the chicken enchiladas and shrimp/pork belly entree. We sat out on the patio and they had ample heating units, but also offered blankets to those dining outdoors.

We had an AMAZING time at Elote. Service was quick and the food was tasty. They bring you complimentary chips and salsa which were fantastic. The pork belly tacos were delicious. You must get a reso but so worth it.

Elote Cafe in Sedona, AZ is an amazing Mexican Restaurant with top-notch ingredients. It is not your standard Mexican Restaurant. The minute you enter the restaurant, the atmosphere and aroma of the food sets the tone for this amazing Cafe. We had a margarita, chicken enchiladas, skirt steak, and chips/salsa. I have to say my taste buds were buzzing with so many flavors to enjoy that I had to purchase 2 cookbooks and meet Chef Jeff Smedstad. Try to make a reservation-I booked this reservation about a month out. There is a nice long bar too to enjoy a drink or a meal. Vacationing from Sarasota, we could sure entertain an Elote Cafe in our area. Thank you Chef Jeff for signing your cookbooks for me.

We tried this place based on reviews, and it did not disappoint! All the food and drinks tastes amazing. Some of the portions were even larger in person than what the pictures looked like, like the lamb adobo for example. The staff was checking up on us a normal amount even though it was super busy. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance because of how popular this place is.

Hands down the best food I’ve had in Sedona. The lamb adobo was divine with perfect flavors and texture, accompanied with the rice and beans. I’m still dreaming about the cornbread cake. And even though I’m not a big chocolate lover the Mexican chocolate cake was quite delicious. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything from here. Our server, Adrian, was just great! He was patient, enthusiastic, and extremely helpful.
